Comments about Sigma Sport BC1606L DTS Wireless Bike Computer with Cadence:
I bought a Blackburn unit and didn't like it(couldn’t figure out how to use it even reading the user manual, too much cluttered info on the screen, too many buttons, would not mount to bike, etc). I got the Sigma and I love it. You can pretty much figure out how to set it up and use it without looking at the manual. When you do have to look at the manual you understand the thought behind the unit and don't have to look there again. The manual is designed for multi languages so the steps to install the unit are not 1, 2, 3. It's more like look at the photo and figure it out. If the supplied O rings don't work for your bike then you can always visit your hardware store and get smaller/larger ones. The screen is large and shows you what you need to see without too much more unless you scroll through the display settings. On my screen I have current speed and current cadence. It also shows you if your current speed is faster or slower than your average speed.
Overall I’m happy with this unit and I like how it’s wireless. I haven’t had any problems with my unit so far.

Comments about Sigma Sport BC1606L DTS Wireless Bike Computer with Cadence:
The computer is lightweight and easy to read but not easy to use. The instructions are lacking and the wireless sensor moves around when using the provided rubber bands. Before each ride, some adjustment is necessary. Need a more robust sensor mounting sytem.

Comments about Sigma Sport BC1606L DTS Wireless Bike Computer with Cadence:
I bought a very nice used road bike with a Sigma wired computer mounted. I found the larger, uncompressed numbers much easier to read than my old Cateye. Weary of breaking computer wires, I did some research of various reviews and decided to give this Sigma wireless a try as I wanted cadence, too.
I found the setup a bit touchy at first. The recommended magnet distance was followed (less than 20mm), but soon the readings proved inconsistant. I changed the magnet-to-sensor spacing to 10mm, and have never had a misread or flashing display since. I ride under a number of high volatage power lines, raw rural electric lines, and any number of microwave and cell towers - never had any electrical interference or misreads.
One thing I did outside of follow the directions (which admittedly could use some text clarification in addition to all the drawings): the rear cadence sensor seemed to move around a bit on rough roads, so I added the second O-ring (comes with 2 sets). With 2 retainer rings, it is solidly in place, regardless of road chatter. Such O-rings can be bought at any hardware store (they're used in plumbing fixtures) - an economical bonus! I plan to get a second sensor/sender unit for my utility bike since Sigmas can accomodate 2 bikes with 1 computer.

Comments about Sigma Sport BC1606L DTS Wireless Bike Computer with Cadence:
I could never get it to work more than 12 miles, first the mph quit working and then the cadence quit working. Got new batteries, but never could get the cadence to work. I think it needs a better mounting system. Sending it back.

Comments about Sigma Sport BC1606L DTS Wireless Bike Computer with Cadence:
I have several bikes and several other computers but I needed one for a new bike and on the recommendation of the sales guy at REI I tried the SIGMA 1606L. It's too complicated to set up and over the course of several hours of riding it's worked for about 5 minutes. I've tried everything and all it does is keep pretty good time. I wouldn't buy another SIGMA product.

Comments about Sigma Sport BC1606L DTS Wireless Bike Computer with Cadence:
I wanted wireless speed, distance, not necessarily cadence. Found this unit at used gear sale with wireless cadence supposedly failing. For the price, didn't care. took it home. Wireless cadence worked fine! Just set sensor magnet gap empirically.
One year later, I nearly bought a SECOND used unit that supposedly didn't communicate between sensors and computer. That was confirmed by on site testing -- green light would flash upon depression of test button, and proximity of magnet, but computer didn't "hear" either cadence or speed transmitters.
I love the one I have and it works great. Worth a second look.

Comments about Sigma Sport BC1606L DTS Wireless Bike Computer with Cadence:
This product is a great concept with great readout but the speed sensor never works, the instructions are impossible to read and the system is just not reliable. I wish had I had read customer reviews about this product before I bought it and regreat having switched from a plain speeed computer to this one. Its just not effective and it takes away from time riding bike and is not worth the anxiety about whether it will work.

Comments about Sigma Sport BC1606L DTS Wireless Bike Computer with Cadence:
I've tried to use the Sigma BC1606 L cadence computer for 9 months. My largest problem has been with the cadence sensor just not working, or when it has worked it would be inaccurate. For example, a cadence of 85 RPMs would read as 160 RPMs. The speed sensor seems to be accurate but doesn't work 1/4 of the time you're wanting to use it.
I've spent too much time on bike rides fussing with this product trying to get the cadence sensor to work when I could have been riding instead. It just takes away your ride time, so I've stopped using this product, and regret ever buying it.

Comments about Sigma Sport BC1606L DTS Wireless Bike Computer with Cadence:
This is a very frustrating device to install and use. The instructions are poorly written. Operating the computer is difficult and you have to wonder why this cannot be a simplier design.
The cadence function is a joke. It works for 10 seconds and then quits and then does not work. I have my sensors in the distance they recommend and still randomly works.
I am not an engineer, but with the design problems, I could have come up with a better design.
You end up messing around with the computer while riding and taking your eyes off of the road!!!!!
The concept is nice but the working part is a disaster.
