Comments about Cat Eye TL-LD610 Rear Bike Light:

I use this on my weekend road bike for poor visibility or evening riding. I have the light mounted to my seat post below my little gear bag and I haven't had the trouble with the mount that others describe. Its advantage over the Planet Bike blinky is that it is waterproof.

Comments about Cat Eye TL-LD610 Rear Bike Light:

I liked that the light was wider than the last light[@]--anything will help to keep me seen! The LEDs are quite bright, thanks in part to the magnifying lenses over them. As with other Cateye taillights, the seatpost mount they provide is worthless. I had the clothing clip they provided with the last light I had, which works with this one, and clipped it to by Topeak bag, and later my rear rack. If you must, you can order the clip [...]Bottom line is, this light is great, and I highly recommend it.

Comments about Cat Eye TL-LD610 Rear Bike Light:

I use two of these on the back of my bike. LEDs are very bright and visible. Motorists have pulled up and commented favorably. I like the multiple flashing modes. Switch works well, and once the light is turned on, it stays on, unlike my previous NiteRiders that would shut off when you hit a bump. Only complaint is with the mount. The mount is easy to install, but seems to loosen frequently, allowing the light to slip and shift position. I find myself tightening the mounts before every ride. Maybe some loctite would help.

Comments about Cat Eye TL-LD610 Rear Bike Light:

This light has been great for the year that I've had it. The linear array of lights is in some ways more visible than a single flashing light. It can be used in steady on mode, or in one of the 3 flash modes; it has a back and forth sort of chasing mode and a random flash mode, but I always use the all flashing mode. The first two flash modes are good in theory, but have the drawback of having only one led illuminated at a time, so they're not as bright as the all flashing mode. I don't think it's quite as attention-grabbing as some of the Superflash-type lights, but that's partly made up for by having the wide array of lights. I've had no problems in the rain and the seatpost mount has been perfectly fine for me, and battery life is quite long. The mount is only meant for attaching to a seatpost, so you would have to be creative if you wanted to mount it to a helmet or a bag. (I think there are other mounts available for purchase separately) My only other complaint is that the switch is difficult to turn on and off with winter gloves on, but that's getting pretty nit-picky.

Comments about Cat Eye TL-LD610 Rear Bike Light:

A big upgrade from the LD600. Trimmer, brighter, with more attention to the optics- a circular spread of light out of a linear array. Pretty trick. With more light 30-45 degrees off center than many other lights. You can fit it horizontally or vertically and get the same level of visibility all around.

There is some who feel a wider band of light is safer than a single point of light- however bright. The wider band making it easier for a motorist to judge their distance to you. If you value that, this light is right up your alley.

I consider the 3 central LED's just as bright as some of the .5 watts emitters used elsewhere.
