Comments about Merrell Tetra Pitch Waterproof Boots - Women's:
Stood up to standing in puddles of water that were 2-3 inches deep. Coming back inside with wet soles, they gripped the floor well, not slippery. I like the style and the fact that they're warm. I normally wear an 8.5 but an 8 fit much better.

Comments about Merrell Tetra Pitch Waterproof Boots - Women's:
I have owned this boot for some 24 hours now. Light snow and slush outside put this boot immediately to the test. Failed miserably. My feet got wet. Don't understand how the moisture got in. Snow or water was not deep and nothing came into the boot from the top. Seeped in from the bottom or the seam.

Comments about Merrell Tetra Pitch Waterproof Boots - Women's:
We don't wear shoes in our house, but when these came in the mail I didn't take them off until bedtime! They were extremely comfortable from day 1, and 2 months later I still look forward to putting them on. We are living in Europe, so these boots are perfect for the day trips and long weekends we do--weatherproof enough for all the rainy weather here, but stylish enough that I don't feel out of place in European cities. I have hiked up to castle ruins and gone up and down steep, slick cobblestone streets with these, with no problems at all. I am a notorious over-packer, but on the last few trips these boots were the only footwear I brought along. One note--they keep your feet warm, which is great at a Christmas market when the gluhwein hasn't made it down to your toes yet, but a little uncomfortable in a warm restaurant. They also tend to pull my socks down unless I'm wearing "clingier" ones, but maybe that's just my socks.

Great boot, esp for Oregon rainy weather and very comfy. I wear 'em all weekend in the rain, mud, grass, beach, etc., and my feet always stay dry. I've never treated them with anything. Perfect for romping with my dog.

Comments about Merrell Tetra Pitch Waterproof Boots - Women's:
I love-love-love my Tetras, but after a few months (albeit, wearing them every day, from going to out with friends to going out in the yard for Dog "Presents" Patrol), they're coming apart a little.
The loops in back are deconstructing, and my monthly cleaning and reconditioning are not keeping up.
Tragically, the Tetras won't last like my Merrell Pulse (waterproof) boots are, in their fourth year of abuse. On the other hand, the Pulse just does NOT cut it with straight black pants, a shiny black cami, and something fabulous from Chico's....

Comments about Merrell Tetra Pitch Waterproof Boots - Women's:
I love these boots. They have formed to my foot and feel like they've always been there--no hot spots, raw spots, or sore spots. They always feel good and look good.
Maybe I'm wearing them too much in bad weather, but with the Merrell name, I had hoped that with all the rain treatment I'm giving them that they'd be holding up a bit better to the weather.
I'm cleaning them and re-waterproofing them each month. The waterproofing they came with isn't holding its own and needs a monthly boost.
I can tell I'll probably wear these out by summer. But I wear these practically every day. So maybe that's fair???
I took "waterproof" literally because I've been wearing Merrell Pulse--the old kind, which are waterproof, for real.
Anybody else have this experience?

Sleek, lightweight (but not because they skimped on construction), no break-in required. Foot-shaped! room for your ten little piggies in comfort. Wore them all over the Embarcadero in Morro Bay, to the best restaurant in town as well as the fish-n-chips joints. Make 'em in more colors and I'll buy those too.

Comments about Merrell Tetra Pitch Waterproof Boots - Women's:
I purchased this boot a year ago for its "waterproof" claim. It is very comfortable to walk in and is warm in cool weather. However, I have not found these to be waterproof. If they mean that the leather itself can stand up to moisture, then that may be true, but water does get into these. On very rainy days, marching through puddles, the water gets in; your socks will be soaked. Perhaps the leather is waterproof, but they are not sealed in order to make that claim.

These boots are great! I bought them to wear to work, and they look great with pants. I am so happy with these boots..worth the price for comfort and warmth.
