Comments about Easton Aluminum Nano Tent Stake with Cord:
Lightweight and cheap, but they're made of two different pieces of metal which are poorly secured to each other. The top cap came off of two of mine on the very first use, making them useless (not to mention impossible to remove from the ground). I'd been hitting them with a rock to get them into the ground. Maybe fine for super-soft ground, but otherwise I'll find something else.

Comments about Easton Aluminum Nano Tent Stake with Cord:
I have used at least 4 different kinds of stakes for my backpacking tents and this is by far the most satisfactory. Yes, I did break one when forcing it around a rock or other obstacle in the ground; that bent the stake and in trying to straight it back out, I broke it. But that's my fault. And unlike one of the reviewers, I've never had the head separate from the shank.

Comments about Easton Aluminum Nano Tent Stake with Cord:
Had to comment here after seeing the other reviews. This is a really good, reliable stake. It is marginally heavier than the ti stakes but significantly less expensive and stronger. Solid as a rock while not being overkill. I use it for any normal condition. Not appropriate for super soft ground (you would need the longer version). One caution: I also had one where the top part came off. It happened the first time I used it, but hasn't ever happened to any of the others. Check individual stakes before you buy, if they are solid, then you should never have a problem.

Comments about Easton Aluminum Nano Tent Stake with Cord:
I used these stakes three times, the final time being in the North Cascades in cold weather (10 degrees). Perhaps it was the cold, but at least half of the tops came loose from the stakes. I was going to use epoxy on them at home, but now I'm dumping them instead -- who knows when the tops will come loose again.

Comments about Easton Aluminum Nano Tent Stake with Cord:
These seemed to be great, over many trail miles...but then one of them shattered in normal (slightly hard) Sierra soil. No big deal, but a few trips later, it happened again, also under normal conditions. I still use the remaining stakes, but won't be purchasing these as replacements. Stakes that bend can still be used, but a shattered stake is useless.

Comments about Easton Aluminum Nano Tent Stake with Cord:
I used these stakes which came with my tent. When I went to pull the stake out of the ground it broke in the middle of the aluminum. It must have had a hairline crack or some manufacturing defect because it was in soft ground and was only used overnight. I wouldn't buy these on their own, and I will be replacing these with something else.
