Comments about Sorel Cumberland Winter Boots - Women's:
These boots are amazing - I got them recently for recreational use in the snow, and they keep my feet very dry and warm. I have had a problem in the past finding boots that would lace up tight enough around my ankles, and these fit very well. They run about a half size bigger than you would expect, which is good for me, since I wear a women's 11. I haven't tried any long hikes, just snowshoeing (they fit inside showshoes snugly) and tromping through knee deep snow, where they have kept me dry and warm each time.

Comments about Sorel Cumberland Winter Boots - Women's:
I'm glad I read the previous review before purchasing, because these boots definitely run at least a half size large. I got the 7.5 and I usually wear an 8, and they are still "roomy" but I can also wear thicker socks with them. Comfortable through the foot and ankle/leg- the boot laces held nicely even under hard use. I sprayed water repellent on mine before using them as a precaution. Traction is good.Oh, and they're very warm! I am definitely happy with my purchase.

Comments about Sorel Cumberland Winter Boots - Women's:
Bought these for the weight and the features, not the look...but was pleasantly surprised by the color!! Living in an area of NYS that can have up to six months of winter, warmth, comfort, and weather-proof were essential. My husband and I walk nearly three miles each day, so I wanted something that would stand up to the test. These MORE than meet my expectations. Yesterday was spent trudging through a mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain...not ONCE did I slip, have cold feet, or feel any kind of moisture seeping through. As previous reviewers have said, they do tend to run just a bit big. I often wear an 8.5, but went with the 8 and they fit perfectly. Lots of room in the toe box, no pinching or anything. The soft sided upper of the boot couldn't be more comfortable, particularly for walking. I can not recommend these boots more highly!!!

Comments about Sorel Cumberland Winter Boots - Women's:
Very disapointed. I need a boot that is waterproof and warm. First time wearing these in the snow I was astonished that my socks got wet and my feet cold. (Everyone told me to buy Sorels.) Where does the moisture come in from? Not true to size. Runs large.
