Comments about ENO SlapStraps:
I bought these to go with my ENO single hammock. I can set up my hammock in about a minute's time with these. They are gentle on trees unless they have brittle bark. The length is sufficient unless the trees you are setting up between are large. I also recommend buying two climbing carabiners to go with these because the ones provided with the hammock can damage the fabric.

Comments about ENO SlapStraps:
I use these straps for the ENO Double Nest Hammock. The straps are VERY easy to use and VERY reliable. The only issue I have with them is that they are slightly too short. If you are trying to use them on a tree larger than 12 or so inches in diameter they wont be long enough... I would recommend bringing rope as a backup in case there are only large trees where you will be setting up the hammock.

Comments about ENO SlapStraps:
I use it everywhere. The ENO Hammock is the best hammock ever! I know that is hard to believe but it is true. This is my second one, first one sadly was lost, or stolen from camping buddies. :) These straps are great. Yes true you could use a daisy chain webbing or any webbing, but if you are a climber you would want to make sure that these items are separate. Don't Mix tree straps for hammock use with climbing technical straps. Wear is different and you just dont want to mix the two. These are simple to use and marked with the eno label. Also for those who want longer straps, ENO does have the Strap PRo that is 22 inches longer, and for the minimalists they have a new micro version thats 4.5 oz instead of the 12 that these are. I use these straps in my Loft between two beams (secured beams) and take naps in the hammock almost daily!

Comments about ENO SlapStraps:
These straps come in handy when trying to set up your ENO hammock. The straps give you about 9 feet more to work with, and they are very easy to use (just loop the straps through, and clip it in place). Get these if you have an ENO hammock.

Comments about ENO SlapStraps:
Awesome product but occasionally I find it's too short. I fixed the problem by taking similar webbing and attaching it to the end loop, then I tied a loop at the end of the new webbing (so the slap strap has something to loop through around the tree). After repeating that process on the other strap I now have and extra 6 feet total to set up between bigger trees I may experience while backpacking.

Comments about ENO SlapStraps:
These straps give an immediate, simple, and incredibly secure platform to hang your hammock with ease. The only problem is finding the right place, I wish they had another 2 or 3 feet of length. The problem is that if you find big trees, they have to be pretty close together because the straps aren't long enough to reach very far if the tree is more than about 6" in diameter. Overall though I find them to be highly reliable and durable - I have no worries about these straps when climbing into my hammock!

Comments about ENO SlapStraps:
these really make setting up your hammock easy, takes me a minute to get up and going. They're light and small too, it doesn't get much better than that.

I bought these thinking i needed them, but you really don't. Not to mention that they are way overpriced and no more tree friendly than accessory rope. Plus, shouldn't these things be free after spending [$]??[*]

Comments about ENO SlapStraps:
These make setting up the hammock a breeze! They are a bit on the heavy side but the ease of use offsets the weight in my opinion. These are plenty long in heavily forested Tennessee, but if you are going to be somewhere where trees are more sparse it may be a good idea to upgrade the to pro version for some extra length.

Comments about ENO SlapStraps:
Wow, these straps are a very useful tool, for the ENO hammock. I started out with just some climbing rope to hold my hammock up and it worked fine. Until one day when a close friend showed me how easy it was to setup with the SlapStraps. So I went out and bought a set, and love them. I use them all the time when I go out hiking or out at a park and just really want to setup my hammock. The only drawback is that if you are wanting to only carry a very light amount, the straps become an extra item. But in reality they save so much time setting up and tearing down, plus it is less than rope (like I was carrying around before). These SlapStraps are really a great idea by ENO. Just like everything that ENO sells, it feels like you are spending a lot for something, but it is all worth the money in the long run. Just try them out, don't like them you can return them. The worst you could do is not try them out and see for yourself.
