When I ride my recumbent bikes my face is pointed at the sun and I get pretty burnt. I started wearing a runner's cap under my helmet but wanted a slightly shorter bill. This one works. I can't use it on an upright bike because you look up into the bill, but on a 'bent it's just right. Plenty of airflow through the mesh top too.

Found the fit to be excellent. I have a larger head and most cycling caps are not large enough. Wicking properties were great. My only issue was with the visor(bill) of the cap while road cycling. Have a GIRO Pneumo helmet. Found that the bill of the cap was too long and blocked my forward visibility. Especially when in the drops. When I flipped the bill of the cap up its stiffness pushed my helmet up and back. Would suggest that the bill length would work fine for Mountain Biking. Good value purchase at 1/2 off.

Comments about Novara Cycling Cap:

The material wicks really well, and has held up to many washings without showing any sign of wear. The brim has held its shape really well, too. The style is good - the subtle red stripes add a bit of flair. There's a bit of elastic at the back, just enough to fit a range of sizes.

The brim is a little longer than on a traditional cycling cap -- maybe 3/4 inch. Perhaps a good feature for some, but it can compromise forward visibility if you have a low (racing) position. I'd give it 4 stars if the brim had a better cut, but for me the extra length is a problem.
