This bottle and holder are great. I only recommend not freezing the contents and trying to grip the bottle when the outside temp is less than 60 degrees. I underestimated the weather one morning and had to keep switching hands to keep my palms from freezing. User Error! The pouch is a great size. I am able to fit and entire package of shot bloks (well, I took them out of the original package and put them in a baggy) and a gel inside. The zipper extends the entire length of the pocket so you don't have to worry about trying to get items in and out. Because of the way that your hand slides in, you don't have to worry about gripping the bottle. It just hangs on to you. I carry a second bottle in my waist pouch. I am able to take the empty bottle out of the Fast Draw and put in the full one without missing a beat. The lid stays on perfectly. No leaking. Great product. I highly recommend it.

This bottle was highly recommended by a friend that loved the top. I couldn't disagree more. While i loved the size and pocket, the nipple was really hard to open, even while standing in place. Coincidentally, the cap leaked. So my hand was refreshed instead of my mouth. In addition, i wish there was some kind of wicking fabic on the outside of the bottle as my hand was pretty sweaty after running 10 miles and so i had to continuously switch it from hand to hand.

i use this for running. i like that i can hold it without actually having to grip it. i also like that it's can hold 2 gu's or cash.
the provided bottle is poorly designed... it's hard to pull up the nozzle and it's hard to drink out of it. it also leaked consistently during a 20-mile run, so my hand got all sticky from the sports drink. now, i just use a gatorade bottle instead, which works perfectly. if i finish my gu and drink at the end of my run, i can just tuck the holder into a pocket, which is a good thing.
i'm not sure this is the best product for this use, but i hate having my water around my waist or on my back, so this was my best option.

For the last 2 years I have been trying to find an adequate hydration system to use while training for marathons and half marathons. I tried the fuel belt thing, too bouncy and the canisters leaked, messy..So I started running with a water bottle which was better but still had leakage issues. Then I purchased this handheld…
Perfect in every way.
Plenty of water for a 12-15 mile run (I’ve had to re-fill on the 20 milers)
Pocket is large enough to accommodate a gel and my Nano w/ Nike + and a few bucks for water
NO SPILLAGE!! The spout system is awesome, a little like a Camelbak, but just a bit different.
Strap for hand is easily adjustable
I highly recommend

I bought this for my long runs. I was very disappointed with the "NEW" top on the bottle. It was very difficult to drink out of. I replaced to bottle with an insulated Polar bottle and it works great! I holds my GU and is as comfortable as I have found.

Love that it's reflective. The strap that tightens around your hand sometimes comes lose. But other than that it's perfect.

I bought this after a marathon runner I know went on about how great this was for running. I am not any sort of great athlete, but if you are trying to train for a marathon, after several months of running with this on your hand, you might get tennis elbow like I did. I like this for the gym because you can put your id card, car key and money in the little pocket and you have it with your water.

Comments about Ultimate Direction FastDraw Plus:
This water bottle stays well in your hand, and I really liked the little pocket to hold a car key, ID, and a little bit of cash. The elastic hand strap is comfortable, and you barely notice that it's there. You need to squeeze this bottle a little harder than most others to get water out. I personally prefer the old style little "pull tops" that allow water to be sucked, squeezed, or poured out, however, I have to say that if nothing else, the "kicker spout" on this is rather cool in terms of design. I run distance, and I feel that this water bottle is best for shorter runs, only because after a while it makes your arm get tired. A good buy for those who are doing shorter jogs, runs, or are walking.

Comments about Ultimate Direction FastDraw Plus:
I never used to run with a water bottle because I found it cumbersome, but I realized I needed to hydrate during my longer runs, so I purchased this handheld. After considering a hydration belt, I went with the handheld because it was more my style, and I found it more convenient to drink from. The zip pocket is large enough to fit cards, gels, and a key. The 20 ounces of fluid is enough for about 8 miles - then, you may want to look for a fountain or pop into a cafe to refill. I like the kicker valve and the adjustable strap, which can be pulled nice and snug.
The ONLY problem I have with this bottle is that the cap on mine leaks at the seam. Disappointing, but not bothersome enough to make me return it. Overall, this product is great and recommended. Run on!

You do not have stress your neck to take a sip while running. Opens and closes so easily.
