Comments about Cat Eye Strada Wireless Bike Computer:
I really like this computer. Its very lightweight and the head unit is very small compared to other bike computers. I also like the mounting unit, I have mine on my stem and I can take it on and off as I please without needing tools or new zip ties. I have also found it to be accurate, and with only a single button very simple to use. The wireless works well and keeps your front end clean. I have found minimal interference, only a few big electrical towers have caused goofy numbers.

Comments about Cat Eye Strada Wireless Bike Computer:
Very simple set up, truly no tools required. Easy to scroll through the various functions. Speed is constantly displayed, pace arrow constant, bottom line of screen has the variable display of distance and other features. Easy to mount on handlebar or stem and since you don't need tools could be easily changed mid ride if needed. One wish would be to have both ride time and total time. Other than that for a basic computer, it's perfect.

Comments about Cat Eye Strada Wireless Bike Computer:
Good bike computer for use with commuting and training. I like the large digital display and the features that are on it. I spent a lot of time comparing them, and this one was the best bang for the buck. I would have liked a cadence and a backlight, but this works fine and I don't ride at night that much anyhow. The only drawback is that you have to flip through all of the screens to get where you want to go. The screen seems to scratch pretty easily, too.

Comments about Cat Eye Strada Wireless Bike Computer:
I bought this bike computer because the wired one I had wasn't working any more. I'm really pleased with this product. Installation was easy; it's easy to read and use. I like that it has two trip meters and a pacing arrow to tell you how you're doing relative to the previous portion of your ride. I ride for fitness (and pleasure) at night after my kids go to bed. This brings out the one downside of this product - no light. I have to wait until I go under a streetlight to see the readout. That's the only improvement I'd make. As far as I can tell, it's quite accurate and I find it invaluable for the type of riding I do.

Comments about Cat Eye Strada Wireless Bike Computer:
Very satisfied overall.
The single button scrolling through the various secondary displays is easy & doesn't distract your attention.
Auto-start function is convenient, although I wish its turn-on "threshhold" for logging time & distance were set higher, eg 5 MPH. Right now, any slow roll, for example waiting for a traffic light, triggers the computer.
Large primary (speed) display easy to read and has good contrast.
Although the secondary display numerals (distance, average speed, etc) are also easy to read, my middle-aged eyes have trouble seeing the tiny annunciator icon that indicate which secondary data is being displayed. However, I have adapted and can live with this.
Since this basic cyclocomputer doesn't support lap split timing, racers doing serious training should look for a different model having the extra features.

Comments about Cat Eye Strada Wireless Bike Computer:
I used the computer on training rides; I liked the function and ease of use. I decided it would be good for my wife's bike, so I bought her one too. After about 6 months, both of them lost signal from the wheel pickup and couldn't be revived with new batteries, resetting, reprogramming. Both computers now sit in a box in the garage in permanent SLEEP mode. It's a great concept - Please Cateye, give me one that will last!

Comments about Cat Eye Strada Wireless Bike Computer:
Having futzed around with a wired computer years back, I wanted a wireless this go-round. and for yours truly, this little gem is perfect. Only tiny caveat is this: the two little thingies on the spoke and fork can and do get knocked out of alignment when the bike (also bought at REI)is mounted to and removed from the rack (yep, that too)on our van. So check that before you boogie off down the river trail. Otherwise the CatEye is functional in all respects and totally satisfactory - has half a dozen different info readouts and I use 'em all.

Comments about Cat Eye Strada Wireless Bike Computer:
My first Cateye (1970s) lasted 10 years. The last three survived about 6 months each. This one first developed a mechanical buzz in the fork-mounted sensor/transmitter that was unnerving on rough roads. Finally, it stopped working (new batteries, etc., had no effect). I disassembled the transmitter and found that the fragile ferrite rod with the coil of wire on it was broken. It was just bouncing around in the enclosure - not glued in place. With that kind of construction, you can expect it to fail when subjected to extreme vibration.

Comments about Cat Eye Strada Wireless Bike Computer:
Of great importance (after accuracy) is readability. I had one of the first Cateye cyclometers in the late 1970s and that one was readable in all conditions. This one is not. Why Cateye thinks that the extremely elongated characters on the LCD is a plus is beyond me. The skinny numbers are hard to read even in good conditions and are terrible compared to my Sigma that this replaced. They could have used some of that vertical space to add display of a third function without needing a larger LCD. The method of changing displayed functions is good (just pressing down on the base of the unit), and the mount allows for stem or handlebar mounting.

Comments about Cat Eye Strada Wireless Bike Computer:
I wanted a small, basic, wireless computer without sacrificing readability. This computer has proven exactly that. It was easy to install and set up. I’ve used it for about three months without any problems. I really like the one button use.
