Comments about Sherpani Rumba Superlight Child Carrier with Rain Cover:
This backpack is great. We have an 18-month old and she enjoys riding in the carrier for up to a couple of hours at time. This pack is incredibly light and packs up flat for easy storage. We looked at several other brands before buying this one, including the RIE and Kelty backpacks, and this was the most comfortable and easiest to put our child into. The sun/rain shade is ok, but it could be bigger. The only negatives are that it is a little difficult to put on by yourself and adjusting the straps for the best fit is a bit of a challenge. After the first few uses, you figure out how to adjust the straps.

Comments about Sherpani Rumba Superlight Child Carrier with Rain Cover:
We really like this pack, though it is the only one we've tried. We tried a few on at the store and the Kelty packs were all so heavy and bulky. My only complaint is that it doesn't stand up on it's own like some of the Kelty packs, it's a bit tippy w/the kiddo in there.
My husband and I are both around 5'8 and it fits us just fine, very comfortable just like our Osprey backpacking packs. I wouldn't recommend this pack for long backpacking trips, simply because it doesn't hold enough, but it's perfect for dayhikes or trips to the farmers market. We use it instead of a stroller most of the time because our 12 month old can see so much more and
gets to interact more with her surroundings.
We've only used the rain cover once, on a very rainy hike in VT, and it worked great. Our 12 month old is on the smaller side and she does fill it out pretty good already, so I can see why bigger kids might have some issues. So far we love it though and would definitely recommend it!

Comments about Sherpani Rumba Superlight Child Carrier with Rain Cover:
Great looking pack, easy to use, hood works fine, stirrups are someone useless (my toddler didn't like them), I would recommend for small babies to about 1 yr. My 15 mo old dwarfed the pack. Doesn't stay upright when you set it on the ground - base is narrow/toddler's feet can touch the ground and can tip over. The biggest problem, is the spine was not long enough for myself (5'10") or hubby (6'0).

Comments about Sherpani Rumba Superlight Child Carrier with Rain Cover:
This is a comfortable pack and stylish to boot. It wears and fits like a regular backpacking pack with lots of padding on the hip straps and is well constructed. Our 18 month son seems very comfortable in it although the rain cover design isn't meant for taller toddlers like him. The cover hits him in the forehead when it's on and doesn't stay in place as well as we had hoped. It is definitely easier to use this pack with 2 people (one to hold the pack while the child is being taken in and out). We recently took our son in this pack onto a glacier and he was very comfortable in it and he loved being able to see everything around him.

Comments about Sherpani Rumba Superlight Child Carrier with Rain Cover:
A great-looking color and style. Seems to be comfy for the child. Lots of room in the storage area. We put all our normal day hike supplies (lunch, wind breakers, water, diapers, etc.) in the bottom and don't even take a separate pack for that. I believe the carrier is designed for women in particular, but my husband uses it more than I do. We're both 5'6" and another friend has one and her husband uses it too. He is about 5'10". I doesn't look "girly".
When we bought it it did not come with the rain cover, but now I see they do. We had to buy ours separately from another company. The rain cover is nice because it provides shade, but is a little tricky to figure out how to attach it the first time without directions.
This pack is super adjustable and feels just like my backpacking pack with the same internal frame structure. It is very sturdy and even stands up on its own with the child in it (supervised of course).
This pack is only good once the child can hold their head up very well. We started using it when our child was 5 months old and he still bobbed around a bit especially when asleep. I don't use this pack daily because I have a soft structure carrier (ERGO) that is better for daily activities, but for trail hiking or strenuous activities, this one wins out every time.
