    While there is no perfect light for cycle riding, this is quite usefull for commuting and casual riding for the price range.

    Easy to mount.

    Front light has two settings, beam and strobe - quite bright. You can buy rechargeable batteries on the side and use them with this model - AA batteries.

    Rear also has the same settings. However, it has odd batteries size. You won't be able to buy rechargeable batteries.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

        We bought this set for our daughter's bike before we sent her off to college. It was easy to set up and she can remove the lights from the bike quickly so they won't get stolen on campus. Best of all, they are quick and effective enough that we know she actually uses them.

          Purchased in Summer '08 and have been working great for those night rides around town. Front beam (esp. in flash mode) has great visability; rear light doesn't disappoint either. Visability being that others (especially cars) will be able to see you.

          Front beam will illuminate your immediate pathway relatively well, but don't expect much more than that. Overall, very easy to install/remove, operate, and to be seen!
