Comments about Cat Eye TL-LD130 Rear Bike Light:

The red plastic lens cover kept popping off just about every time I hit a bump or rough surface. I had to secure it with black electrical tape. I would recommend this light but with reservations.

Comments about Cat Eye TL-LD130 Rear Bike Light:

I don't use this as the primary taillight for my bike but I got a Novara Commuter Backpack and it has a loop ourside of the pack. I wanted a small LED light to attach to my packpack for added nighttime visibility.

Comments about Cat Eye TL-LD130 Rear Bike Light:

A nice light for all around use but I don't think I'd use it in very dark conditions, dusk and dawn are good uses for this product. If you need a light for fog/deep dark commuting, etc., I would suggest a Planet Bike Superflash.

Comments about Cat Eye TL-LD130 Rear Bike Light:

I admit, while the light lasted, it showed great potential as a rear light at night, but it didn't last long. The battery died fast, and soon after, the bulb died. It may have just been my one unit, but I urge buyers to beware of this product. BUY AT OWN RISK.

Comments about Cat Eye TL-LD130 Rear Bike Light:

This light was great for one season. If you want to be seen the Cateye TL-LD150 is worth the extra $ I have had both and there is a difference.

First, after replacing the battery the red cover popped off a couple times going over bumps. (yes I secured it properly) Then the post mount broke when I tried to switch it to a different bike. Then I used the clip, which works great on clothes, but this light finally crashed when I attached it to my pannier tabs. The clip was too loose, the whole light popped off and spilled under a car. Taking my rechargeable batteries with it.

I am writing this review while searching for its replacement. I will ALWAYS recommend bike lights for riders. it is important to be seen.

I ride ALOT and have used this rear light for about 5 years. It is great in every aspect. Durable, waterproof, long battery life, highly visible, low cost and easily removed by hand. In fact, to this day I am still using the same light with absolutely no problems. BUY THIS REAR LIGHT!!

Comments about Cat Eye TL-LD130 Rear Bike Light:

I bought this light because it was [$], bright and I trust the cateye brand. The first taillight failed under normal road riding when I arrived home to notice the red lens had fallen off along with my $$$$ rechargeable batteries,[*]! Exchanged it and the second light made it about 150 miles before it let itself loose from the clip I had attached to my cargo net, clip stayed attached to net but light came off clip. Luckily it just had the included cheapo batteries in it this time.I gave it 2 stars because the light, with refinements, is a good light. I just hope Cateye addresses the issues. I own two and the one on my road bike has failed twice and the one I have attached to my mountain bike seat post works great, go figure?

Bought new, lens cap broke off as soon as I hit a bump - which happens often as I bike 6 miles to work, 6 miles home, through the city 4-5 days a week. Returned and got a new one. Third trip to work, the same thing happened. Would not recommend this light.

Comments about Cat Eye TL-LD130 Rear Bike Light:

I bought one and used it once and got rained on towards the end of my ride. I used it yesterday and I turned it off after I used it. This morning, it had magicallyl turned itself on and was flashing when I came into my office. I tried to turn it off but could not. I took it apart and noticed some water had gotten inside. I took the batteries out, dried everything out with a paper towel, put the batteries back in, and it would not work. I put new batteries in and it still will not work.

                  Back it goes tomorrow.
