Comments about Keen Boston Shoes - Men's:
Keen changed the construction of these shoes. unlike the earlier versions, which I owned and loved, the existing model is horrible! The leather is cheap. The heal cup is made out of some type of vinyl which produces a terrible squeak when you walk. The problem is so bad that I rarely wear the two pairs which I own.
I have other pairs of Keen shoes are fantastic. I hope the company does not "value engineer" anymore of their product line. If they do I will know won't be a customer.
Comments about Keen Boston Shoes - Men's:
I have many pairs of Keens, including portsmouth and also the ones that are now called Briggs I think. I don't wear these Bostons anymore because they make squeak noises when I walk and it drives me nuts. I tried sandpaper, vaseline, leather conditioner, baby powder, nothing works. They also rub on my ankles a little worse than the other keens I have. Off to charity these go!
Also, I don't like the insoles that Keen switched to a few years back, it used to be more of a fabric footbed and now it's some kind of rubbery thing. The old one used to mold to your foot better. I might go try on the newer keens like the wear around with the cork midsole, maybe those are better.
Overall I used to be a big Keen supporter, now I find myself going towards Ecco.

Comments about Keen Boston Shoes - Men's:
I bought these shoes because I have long 2nd, 3rd and 4th toes and a 2E width foot. I find it very difficult to get shoes that fit the shape of my foot. The keens have the square toe box, reasonably wide forefoot and a fantastic footbed that hugs the base of your foot and provides excellent support. The only problem is, they don't make a 12.5US. This is killing me because the 12 is just a fraction to small for my liking and I swim in the 13's. This seems to be the case for a lot of shoe companies. They only do 1/2 sizes up to 12. It frustrates the hell out of me. Come on guys, make 12.5 size shoes. There must be more like me. The keens are great shoes for all feet and I highly recommend them.

Comments about Keen Boston Shoes - Men's:
Have had these for 2 years. They are as comfortable as the day I bought them. Require little or no break-in, good for occasional wet weather, and the laces haven't even broken yet. Comfortable enough for traveling (walking all day), but perhaps a little too casual for the office, depending on where you work (not too casual for my office).

Comments about Keen Boston Shoes - Men's:
I bought these shoes based on their looks and was very pleasantly surprised by how well they fit and how comfortable they are. I have an odd size foot- 12 1/2 EE - and was looking for something that I liked the look of that was wide enough for me. I'm on my feet all day and found that the only type of shoe that was consistantly comfortable was a running shoe. Luckily, I work in an environment that allows them, but I'm not a kid anymore and wanted to occasionally pretend to be grown up. I saw the Boston online and saw that they had a wide toe box, had a tie closure rather than slip-on (I have very narrow heels - with my EE width my wife says my feet look like a duck's), and they have the sole coming up over the toe for a measure of durability. I bought them in size 12 and I would say they are the best shoe I've ever owned. They run a little big and wide in my experience, but that was perfect for me and my feet aren't exactly normal. They are warm enough in the winter, but a little too warm in the hottest days of summer. I guess that's why Keen makes sandals too.

Would buy again. Very comfortable shoe. Great for people with wide feet. Comfortable from day one. Very sturdy shoe. Leather is thick, yet bendable. Laces have held up well. Soles seem like they'll never wear out. Nice color.

Comments about Keen Boston Shoes - Men's:
I just purchased a second pair of these shoes. They are great, I use them for work and traveling as they do not have metal in them so they do not set off the metal detectors in the airport, etc. Extremely comfortable and stylish too boot. I have worn them daily for the last two years and they have held up well.

I have worn these shoes to work for the last nine months. They're very comfy and durable.
Comments about Keen Boston Shoes - Men's:
Following up on nicko's comment, I love Keen's shoes but in both the Boston and the Targhee the 12 is slightly too small and the 13 is huge. Their shoes but I'm probably going to have to go to another brand as a result.
