Having recently discovered the Mountain Hardwear brand, I'm very happy with the quality of their products. These pants are comfortable and well made. Apart from mountain use, I use them for airport travel because I don't have to remove my belt....its built in and has a plastic clasp so as not to set off metal detectors. They are roomy for long trips as well. I'll be buying more of these.

I have had a pair of these pants for about two years now, and I've never hiked in anything more comfortable. The fabric is very breathable, so you wont find yourself overheating on hot days, yet the long legs keep dirt and branches off.

By far the best thing about these pants is the seam placement. There are two seams on the inside of the leg, allowing them to pass around, and therefore not chafe, your more sensitive areas. The knees also have slight articulation, allowing them to move with you, and not the other way around.

Back pocket placement is also good, allowing you to carry wallets and such on the side of your hip where they wont move around and interfere so much.

Service and delivery comments:

I bought these in a store, but from my other experiences with shipping, REI is second only to NewEgg is timely delivery. Note that I have an FPO address, and I never have to wait more than a 8 days for my gear.
