Serfas® men's RX bike saddles have been engineered and clinically found to help in the prevention of cycling-induced genital numbness.

  • A groove from tip to tail shifts rider's weight to inner thighs and buttocks, avoiding contact with the perineum, relieving pelvic discomfort
  • Also, the majority of rider weight is placed on the rear of the saddle, further reducing pressure against the perineal artery
  • Dual Density base technology absorbs shock and allows the base to flex in critical areas

    Lets face it, ALL bikes seats are basically uncomfortable you will never get that setting on the couch feel no matter what BUT this seat is just about as good as you're going to find.
    The open groove down the middle works well, the padding is sufficient, its reasonably lightweight as long you are not a full blown racer counting every gram.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

    I finally had got this after I was fed up with my stock seat on my MTBike and was getting into biking 10-20 miles at a time. I've done a few rides of 50 miles and it has been great! No more soreness!

    This saddle is a great saddle for softness and comfortable riding for under maybe 2 hours. Anymore and I started to feel a little numb. I actually used this on my MTBike too a few times and although kinda heavy, it served the purpose. As far as durability, it withstood a few falls, but now after a few months of summer riding my one left corner is starting to wear out into the foam that sourrounds the gelpaks. I would reccomend this seat, but only to someone under 200lbs to get the full effect.

      I was recommended this seat [...] to use on my mountain bike so I bought my wife the women’s version and I bought this one. Neither of us can ride on it for more than a an hour without numbness and soreness the next day. I weight 250 lbs and my wife weights 190 lbs so I suggest this seat is not effective for heavier people.

      This didn't really work for me. I love the cut-out design but the padding/overall shape wasn't the best for me. The saddle is quite unattractive, the graphics even seem to scream "comfort bike" (which would be OK if I was actually comfortable).
      There is no gel but there are two densities of foam.
      I went with a Terry Fly Chro-mo Gel saddle that I don't even think about when I'm riding.

      Any saddles in this design are best for MTB. However, I didn't bought mine in this price range cause it's a litle pricey compared from the [$]BELL offerings [...]. and it really works! for a long long ride.

      I threw this on my commuter a few years ago to replace the aging stock saddle. This one is too soft and flimsy. It did not take long for the cover to crack. It's better to spend twice as much once than to spend half as much twice.

      This is best used for short trips beginning and ending in your garage.

      This saddle IMHO has too much padding. I'm a big rider, so normally I would want more padding but I think this is too much padding. I use it on my mtb and I ride singletrack. Sometimes it would catch on my short when I need to slide back on the saddle. I wouldn't mind having this on a cruiser bike, commuter, or when going on a longer trip. But with any saddle, it is best to try it first. Bottom line is, great saddle but would be better with a little bit less padding.

      i was trying to choose between buying padded biking shorts or a padded seat. at rei, the sales person told me he had sold tons of this seat to bikers. i decided to give it a try and i'm not disappointed. after a week or so of biking i notice the difference. my butt feels a bit better. now, i'm not sure if this seat is a replacement for padded biker shorts, but it works well for me. maybe the combination of this seat and the shorts would be perfect.

      my only problem with this seat is that the decals are starting to wear off with only a month of use. even so, i'd buy one of these again if i had to.

        I'm using the saddle on my mountain bike and am very pleased. The seat is very comfortable and practical. Has plenty of padding. The decal trim on it has worn off rather quickly, but isn't a big deal. The material is holding up quite well. This replaced a similar Serfas saddle I'd used for the last 6 years. The material on it will eventually wear through. Take care of it and it should last you plenty of rides.
