Comments about MTI Infant PFD - Under 30 Pounds:
Our little guy started wearing his last summer (2007) @ 2.5 years & about 25# We mainly use it on flat water in our Dirigo tandem (family) kayak but also wear it on grandpa's powerboat and have even gone swimming with it on a few times. It is the perfect piece of gear for peace of mind. In the water he bobs contently with no worries from him or us. As a swimmer it is a bit constraining but that is not its purpose. We're hoping he'll be able to use it through this season as well.
Highly recommended without reservations.

Comments about MTI Infant PFD - Under 30 Pounds:
Used this once for a 1.5yr, about 26lbs, the neck hole was tight for our little guy, and the head float was stiff & awkward. The pfd floats really well, and is probably really safe, but seem like it could be made a little more comfortable so little ones would actually want to put it on.

Comments about MTI Infant PFD - Under 30 Pounds:
I tried this on my 12 month old - she's about 19lbs and 26" and couldn't sit up wearing this life vest because it was too long. Also, she was almost choked due to the tight neck area. I love that REI has an amazing return policy because this just didn't work for us.
