Comments about Chaco ZX/2 Unaweep Sandals - Women's:
I was looking for a pair of supportive sandals that I could wear walking around the city all summer long, as well as sandals that could get wet and do well with water sports. I had a pair of Teva's, which were ok, but i didn't like that the velcro can get old, they didn't feel that supportive when walking for a long time, and i was interested in the toe loop of Chacos. My husband has been a Chaco fan for years and he convinced me to give them a try a few years ago. Not realizing that Chacos do need an initial "getting used to" period, I was frustrated with the first pair and returned them after two weeks. I didn't like that they felt as if they were rubbing the bottom of my foot raw. Otherwise, they were comfy, but I just couldn't get passed this problem. So this time around, I read all the reviews and was mentally prepared for a period of time to "get used to them". Some people even said that they took a month or two to get used to their Chacos. It seemed as if everyone loved their Chacos in the reviews, so I figured I really needed to give them a second chance. This time around, I can honestly say I LOVE MY CHACOS!! I wear them virtually everywhere. They are extremely comfortable, and very supportive, which is key if you do a lot of walking. The initial problems I had with them were that the straps do take some time to adjust - and you'll find that you need to re-adjust them the first few weeks that you wear them, until you find the perfect fit. The toe strap can get progressively tighter, but that stops after a few weeks of wearing them. The straps are very long, so I needed to cut them so they wouldn't drag on the ground. Also - I did develop a blister with them after wearing them for a few hours in the first week. I have heard recommendations that you should wear them for an hour everyday for the first few weeks, and slowly get used to them. I do sometimes still think that they chafe the sole of my foot - but i can tell I am slowly growing accustomed to them, and i am noticing this less and less. As for the toe loop, i highly recommend getting them! They may take a couple weeks to get used to, but they have the added benefit of increasing stability. I don't notice them at all now. If you are only doing walking - not getting the toe loop should be ok, but if you plan to do any water sports or hiking, the toe loop is a must. I know it sounds like I listed off a bunch of negatives, but overall I am extremely happy with my Chacos, and cannot think of a better, and more versatile sandal for summer. They are ideal for water sports, good for hiking, and can also be paired with a cute skirt for a casual dinner with friends! :-) I only wish I could wear them to work (I have to wear closed toed shoes to work!)

Comments about Chaco ZX/2 Unaweep Sandals - Women's:
I love these shoes, but not always. I don't think they are good in sand because sand gets between the straps and the sandals and causes blisters and they are prone to amazingly bad smells, But that I guess is a Chaco thing. Also, I love how the two strap design looks, but you do have to adjust both of them when you need to adjust and it's not as simple as having one strap. They are very durable, comfortable and have great grip. Overall these are my favorite summer shoes, but they're not without flaws.

I love this sandal. Not only is my foot stable at all times, it is stylish and comfortable. I have worn these in every situation from dressed up to around town to hiking and camping. They've never let me down, they do not fade, and because of the double straps conform perfectly to my foot.

Comments about Chaco ZX/2 Unaweep Sandals - Women's:
I love Chacos. In fact at the last sale I bought 3 different types and owned 5 pairs before the sale. So, I was excited to finally find a color I could really use (green) and a style that was so adorable. They would even look cute with skirts. However, I wore them all day and plan to return them. I adjusted the shoe repeatedly and tried to get a good fit. The toe got tighter and tighter. It about drove me through the roof. So, even though the shoe was on sale, it is going back to the store. I'm sticking with the Z/1. It doesn't have a toe ring, and only has one strap instead of two. They aren't as cute as the ZX/2, but they do feel much better on my foot. I wish the Z/1s came in green. I could sure use that color.

Comments about Chaco ZX/2 Unaweep Sandals - Women's:
I really wanted to make this sandal work because I loved it and loved the color (green) but the toe loop is just way too tight and I can't get it to loosen any so it is just not comfortable and I can't wear it very long. When I take it off I have red indentations on my toe from the tightness. I may exchange it for the other style the ZX/1 instead. Too bad because I really liked this style better. Wish Chaco could fix this problem as I'm sure I'm not the only one to experience this issue. Also I wear a size 7 but it was too big in this sandal and the side strap hung way down dragging the floor. I switched to a size 6 and it fit better. But the toe loop was still a problem and unfortuately I won't be able to keep this shoe

Comments about Chaco ZX/2 Unaweep Sandals - Women's:
I've had my ZX/2's for over a year now, and I wear them everywhere to everything. They look stylish anywhere I go, paired with practically anything I wear. They're comfortable, and the arch support is fantastic - though it does take a little getting used to. Adjusting the straps are a breeze. Easy to put on, easy to take off. I can walk in water without worry because I know they'll dry off without any adverse effects. I love the toe-hold especially, as it helps me stay grounded. I do find myself cleaning my sandals frequently - about once a week - since the footbed gets gunked up quickly, but they're super easy to clean by hand in the sink with a sponge, and even cleaner just tossed in the washer. I love these so much, I just bought a second pair!

I wore these around the store for well over 30 minutes, and they felt lovely. I wore these around work -- lots of standing, walking, and stairs, and had to adjust them *every* *hour*. I think I pulled something in *both* of my big toes, and some of my fingers trying to adjust the nefarious toe loops. I would have gone barefoot in the *Chemistry* building if I didn't think that was a worse idea! I just read some other comments that said it takes two weeks to acclimate, but I don't think I'd have toes after two days. I love the cute style, and the green, but I'll end up in corrective shoes if I don't take these back to the store. I am *so* mad!

I could possibly be the only person that doesn't enjoy these shoes on the planet, but i thought i should add my 2 cents to these reviews to warn consumers who may encounter the same problems i did! The adjustable straps were more of a pain for me than a pleasure! I could never get them quite right. They constricted my big toe so much that it would be sore at the end of the day. The other day I went for a hike, (only 5-10 miles mind you), and they chafed and gave me blisters. That was the bottom line. I wanted these to be my all around summer shoe and they couldn't fit the bill. After trying to break them in and work with them for 2 months, I gave up. I wouldn't say this is a poorly made shoe - certainly not - but it didn't work for me.

Great sandal for rafting, hiking, and bumming around camp, also cute with casual skirts - truly multifunctional and great for when you don't know what the day will bring. Nice arch support. My one complaint is that the heel bed is narrow and rubs on the sides, and I don't have wide feet. So every summer they are a little uncomfortable until I get a callus there and then they are fine. I have several friends who complain of the exact same thing with these. As for sizing I am a 6.5, and the 6 definitely fits me better than the 7.

Comments about Chaco ZX/2 Unaweep Sandals - Women's:
After hearing so much hype and reading the reviews about chacos I decided to try these out.
They are really cute, but the double straps are much harder to adjust than the one strap. Also, the toe loop on these sandals seemed to get tighter and tighter as I wore them, making them pretty uncomfortable. Ultimately I exchanged these for a z/1..one strap and no toe loop, I'm very happy with my exchange.
My advice is to go with comfort, and get the z/1's, even if they aren't quite as cute.
