Comments about Chaco Z/1 Unaweep Sandals - Women's:
I've hiked hundreds of miles this summer on the north shore of Minnesota (much on the Superior Hiking Trail). I've done 95% of my miles in my Chacos. Great because you can go straight through puddles, rivers, and streams; they're adjustable (you can wear them loose like slippers or tighten them up for a quick trail run); great arch support means you can go miles and miles in one day; low impact - and yet they can pass for casual city-wear, too. Highly recommended.

Comments about Chaco Z/1 Unaweep Sandals - Women's:
These are the best adventure sandals out there. Whoever came up with the idea of just strapping a Vibram sole to your foot - the most durable sole out there - deserves a medal. They are simple and perform beautifully - stay on your feet in difficult situations, provide great traction, and lightweight comfort. The straps come in great colors to match your style. Cons: your mileage will probably vary, but I've found that I get some blisters from the straps being placed a little narrowly on the shoe. I also have some trouble adjusting the straps - it takes some force! I sometimes stumble on steep downhills - they don't provide much stability. Finally, I wish they were responsibly made. But overall, I'd never go anywhere without my Chacos.

I wear these every day in the city. I am 72, tall, active and have a total knee replacement in addition to a bunionectomy. Left foot is size 12 very narrow. Right foot is size 11 and a little wider. I thought I'd never wear comfortable or stable shoes again. The Chaco is flexible with the bands and supportive with the great sole. I wear them with cozy wool socks or nice tights in the winter and bare or with light socks in the summer. I call them my strap-on soles. Thanks so much for these great shoes.

Comments about Chaco Z/1 Unaweep Sandals - Women's:
These are great sandals! I exchanged ZX/2 's for these Z/1 's, and I am SO happy I did! These are so much more comfortable, easier to adjust and they seem plenty stable without the toe-loop.
Also, I have very wide feet so it's hard to find shoes that fit me right. The wides feel just perfect for me, it's nice that Chaco offers that option.
I highly recommend these (especially over the ZX/2 's)!

Comments about Chaco Z/1 Unaweep Sandals - Women's:
I loved my pair of Chaco sandals I bought these for my daughter and she loves them too. She wore a 7 and I bought her a 6 and they fit her fine. She had bought a pair of Trends size 7 and they were a little big but the size 6 fit great. I wear a 6.5 and a 6 fit me fine. She said that she would wear them everywhere next summer. After she figured out how to adjust them she thought that the way they fit her foot coudn't be better. We would both recommend these shoes to everyone.

Comments about Chaco Z/1 Unaweep Sandals - Women's:
I had these for about 2 years, (I've had sandals last WAY longer than this) wearing them every day. They worked fine and were not usually uncomfortable, but if I walked too far they began to chafe, which my old Teva sandals never did. Plus, if there was ANY water on the ground, the tread would direct it to the front of the shoe and it would immediately get thrown up onto my toes, which is something none of my other sandals have done. Annoying when you're wearing socks. When I finally decided to get rid of them, the tread had worn pretty flat and the rubber had begun to crack where the straps go into it. I was told Chaco can replace straps for you, but what good is that when the sole wears out first?
I went back to Teva and haven't had any chafing/etc since.

My favorite day is when I wear my Chacos with thick socks. It keeps my toes warm and I still get to wear my fav sandles!

Great sandal for rafting, beaches, not as secure a fit for hiking as the toe wrap sandal but more comfortable. And you can wear fleece socks if it gets too cold...

Comments about Chaco Z/1 Unaweep Sandals - Women's:
These are great at work and play and are light and airy so when the heat sets in, my feet don't feel it. They are also very versatile with any outfit.
