- Polyester webbing uppers are lined with hydrophobic foam rubber for comfort and fit, and faster drying and durability under heavy water usage
- Linings are treated with AEGIS Microbe Shield™ for resistance to odors created from bacterial growth
- V-strap forefoot capture design with elastic one-pull lacing and cordlocks secures feet into footbeds for comfort and protection

This is my second (but not last!) pair of Keen Venice sandals. It took me a while to get used to their look, but once the comfort was evident on a 3-week trip to Europe, their not-so-pretty look faded away!! I now have the green ones and the brown/gray ones. They are great for walking, traveling, wearing in the water, wearing on the beach...anywhere that you need to be active but comfortable. They actually look cute with denim capris or a denim skirt, too. My only complaint is that I want them in hot pink!!!

I have a wide foot and this sandal is wide even for me. It also runs large. I had to return the first sandals (postage was a very expensive)for a half size smaller. They are still slightly large. I ordered black but REI sent brown. I decided that it was too much trouble to return again. The brown is okay. But, I like the sandals and will use them for biking, hiking and kayaking.

This is my 2nd pair. My 1st pair I've had for 5yrs and they are still in pretty good shape but starting to finally wear out a bit. That's why I had to get a new pair. They are so comfortable and I wear them everywhere! This is the only shoe I have that is still in decent shape after so many years!

I bought a pair of Keen Venice sandals as my primary paddling/beach shoe for kayaking the Inside Passage (Seattle to Ketchikan). I bought a size larger than normal so I could wear them with either wool or neoprene socks. These shoes were awesome. Not only did they hold up to barnacles, rock shelves, and cobblestones, but they provided great traction, toe protection, and they held up to the greatest abuse I have every inflicted upon a pair of shoes. And they are so comfortable! And after two months, they look almost new with the exception of some slight fading. Thanks Keen!

These are the most practical shoes I have ever bought and I absolutely love them! I got them the week before I went to camp as a counselor and wore them every day... In the creek, walking around, playing indoor hockey... Then I took them kayaking. LOVED them. I wasn't worried about losing them and they have great traction on the bottom so I didn't slip around on the rocks. They are super comfortable on dry ground for walking/light hiking and are perfect for wet weather when running errands around town or for water sports/activities. I even wore them when I went to the lake for a family reunion. So perfect!

Over the past 6 or 7 years I've owned 3 pairs of Keen shoes (2 pairs H2 Venice sandals and 1 pair of maryjanes). I've found them to be comfortable and readily wearable from day-1. I recently purchased a new 4th pair of Keen's (jade green H2 Venice; same size as the previous ones) but the fit was a half size too small. When I compared their size to my older Keens and they were clearly smaller. The length was measurably shorter and foot-bed was cramped and uncomfortable. I exchanged the too small sandals for a pair that's a half size bigger and the larger size fit just fine. REI's blurb about these sandals should include a notation indicating that Keen's sizing system has changed and they now run a bit smaller.
Also, these new sandals (fresh out of the box) have a very strong plastic smell (kind of like a "new car smell"). I imagine this will go away after a while. I'm going to put em outsidefor a few days to air out. Nevertheless, it's not pleasant and I don't feel good about those out-gasing chemicals escaping into the environment. None of my previous Keen's smelled strongly of plastic. Seems like Keen's manufacturing process could use some additional attention to detail.
