Comments about MSR Pocket Rocket and Titan Kettle Combo Kit:
I have been using an alcohol stove for all of my previous hikes, and enjoyed everything about it except for pouring and measuring the fuel. On a recent trip where I was flying in to town and leaving quickly, I wouldn't have enough time to pickup the fuel I needed, so I thought I would try the Pocket Rocket.
I went ahead with the combo, even though I already had a Titanium cup, since it advertised that the stove and fuel would fit in this specific cup. Well not so much, The stove in its plastic container does not fit in the cup all by itself. Outside of the case the stove fits, but for the life of me, I could not fit a small MSR fuel canister in the cup and the stove at the same time.
The Stove worked great and I would highly recommend it, but skip the combo pack and use your own cup. The Stove on top of the fuel with a full mug of water was a little top heavy and I accidentally tipped it over once, so use only on level ground or on top of something flat.

Comments about MSR Pocket Rocket and Titan Kettle Combo Kit:
I tested my new pocket rocket stove this past weekend. It was easy to light, even in windy conditions. I boiled water in the kettle and it took less then 2 minutes to boil. Very lightweight and easy to use.

Comments about MSR Pocket Rocket and Titan Kettle Combo Kit:
This is a great little stove. I have been using various alcohol stoves for years. I finally got frustrated by the finicky priming and lighting procedure. This stove lights the first time every time. The base is stable if placed on flat level ground. The titanium pot is very lightweight, cools fast, and easy to use.
I could not completely fit the stove and fuel cannister in the pot either. They go in, but the lid will not sit close completely.

Comments about MSR Pocket Rocket and Titan Kettle Combo Kit:
This stove is absolutely the best for backpacking. I would not recommend it for large pots or pans. It stands as stable as you can set the fuel canister level on the ground since the stove sits on the fuel-canister base. It weighs hardly anything at all, and that is the best feature of this stove. It boils water fiendishly fast. The titanium pot requires a holder or something for when you grab it by the handle to insulate your fingers from heat. It gets hot. Other than that, the titanium pot is priceless as it does not dent in your pack like alluminum pots. The size of the pot is perfect--you can boil a common-sized bottled water amount of water (16.5 oz. or so). It is much lighter weight than other stoves I have used (MSR Whisperlight International).
