Clif Nectar bars are packed with vibrant fruit, nut, and cocoa flavors. These bars feature dates as a main ingredient and are similar in consistency and texture to LaraBar products, but have a fresher, more "fruit forward" taste.
The Dark Chocolate Walnut and Cherry Pomegranate flavors are particularly good. But I did encounter some whole cherry pits in the Cherry Pom bars, and some other hard objects (possibly fragments of almond shells?) in the Cranberry, Apricot & Almond flavor. These inclusions would give me pause about providing the bars to children, or to taking one of those flavors on a long distance bike tour.

These puppies are the best bar out there for taste and ingredients. Great to boost energy either in the backcountry or just on the go in everyday life. Shame they don't sell them in Canada! I load up with a couple of boxes each trip I make down south. Yum.

These babies are healthy, delicious, and totally addictive. My faves are the raspberry cocoa and original walnut cocoa (tastes almost like a brownie!), but they are all delicious. They have only six ingredients, no added sugar (so no sugar crash!) and a lot of fiber. They're not a good way to pack in calories when you're in a hurry, i.e. if I were on a 24-hour bike race I would pack more calorie-dense food. But they taste amazing, give you good, healthy energy, and pack well. I buy them two boxes at a time!
