I bought this blanket and while I love it because it's warm and comfortable and waterproof, the second time I machine washed it (it says to machine wash cold, tumble dry low), the handle which is attached had ripped almost completely off. So it's a little more fragile than I'd hoped for and the problem is, if you can't toss it in the washer, how exactly do you clean it? If you put it on the wet ground, you're pretty much going to have to wash it every time it comes home. So if you don't care about having a handle on it, I'd say just cut it off (which is what I am going to do) and then you can wash it easily even though the handle is a nice feature. With that said, I'm still ordering a second one because handle or no handle, it's a great lightweight blanket to take to the beach, camping, etc. It also works well to cover back seats of cars when bringing animals along in your vehicle and it would be a good changing blanket if you have a baby.

My ex-boyfriend and I picked this up on impulse while waiting in line to check out. Didn't NEED it, but it looked handy, and we definitely weren't disappointed. We took it everywhere, and while it wasn't a necessary purchase to begin with, I don't know what we'd have done several times without it. Now he's my ex-, but I still stop by his house and borrow it whenever I can... I really just need to suck it up and buy another one!

This is a great blanket for picnics and just about any other activities on the grass/ ground. This blanket is warm, yet is cool in the summer. It doesn't soak up the water from wet grass. This is just an all around perfect blanket and the storage of it is really cool. It zips into itself with a handle on it to put it over your shoulder.
