Comments about Blackburn Mars 2.0 Rear Bike Light:
The light itself works great, very bright with several flashing and steady modes. Long life from a couple of AAA batteries. But the plastic mounting fixture just snapped off during a ride. very cheap. I agree [...]that it would be nice if you could just replace the fixture instead of tossing out a functional light.

one of three leds died after a couple of weeks, then the clip broke- i was using it clipped on my backpack. kind of hard to claim warranty when the things in multiple pieces.

Comments about Blackburn Mars 2.0 Rear Bike Light:
Initially, I really liked the Mars light. Cheap and I could install it on a fender. Unfortunately, I have to remove it from the fender to change the batteries. The case is very brittle. Cracked on both lights I purchased.

Comments about Blackburn Mars 2.0 Rear Bike Light:
It was hard finding a taillight that could easily attach to the rack, rather than the seatpost where it would be obscured by a rack pack. The Mars 2.0 attached to the bracket at the rear of the rack and looks very smart sitting above the fender. The flashing modes are both great.
Its a good thing that battery life is good, because to change batteries I'll have to dismantle the bracket from the rack and the light from the bracket. But that's no big deal.

Comments about Blackburn Mars 2.0 Rear Bike Light:
I commute to and from work on ill lit streets. Several friends have driven past me on night rides and have noted how well they could see me (from over four blocks away).
A few reviewers have noted fragility. I didn't have this problem, as the light is clipped to my rear mounted trunk bag and has taken quite a beating. I don't know what sort of stress the other clips were under, but I haven't had any issues and have had the light for several months.

Comments about Blackburn Mars 2.0 Rear Bike Light:
*Very* bright--at least with fresh batteries. The light comes with a couple AAA cells but I didn't get a lot of life out of those. Plan on replacing those. The two flashing modes should be effective at getting the attention of anyone behind you. Mine's not mounted to the seatpost--instead I mounted mine on the reflector tab of my rear rack (using only the included hardware). Works great there.

Comments about Blackburn Mars 2.0 Rear Bike Light:
Visible and easy to operate, but the plastic bracket that connects the light to the seat-post has broken twice. I hope Blackburn will make the bracket out of sturdier material in the future, and make it easier to find replacements for the thin plastic brackets so the still-functional, and good quality components won't have to be thrown away.

Comments about Blackburn Mars 2.0 Rear Bike Light:
Works well except for fact does not stay clipped to my book bag. nothing some tape will not solve. Have not been hit by a car yet so it is doing the job I bought it for.

Comments about Blackburn Mars 2.0 Rear Bike Light:
Great light overall, but the on/off button is too hard to reach, especially when placed on seat column.
