Water RESISTANT, not PROOF

This case is water resistant, but not waterproof. I've used it swimming and snorkeling and it's leaked enough to ruin paper inside. And there's no safety lock on the latch to keep it from popping open in a pocket or clipped to a pack. I wrap a rubber band tightly around the case and latch as a safety. It's more useful to keep out beach sand than water.

Ruined My Phone

Took my phone kayaking in this case. Rolled my boat and th4e case filled with water. My phone was ruined and the manufacturer wouldn't pay for the damages. This case is the farthest thing from waterproof. Just use a ziploc bag. At least REI refunded the case.

Well made, functional dry box for car key

Excellent quality and value. I bought this little box for my car key to keep it dry while rowing. The included carabiner and lanyard (shown coiled up) also seem to be strong and reliable. It's a bit larger than I need but it gives me peace of mind.

Very Cool and leak proof

I use it in my pool and hang it on my float lounge chair with my cellphone in it or maybe my cigarettes or what ever you smoke;-) It's a great stash box.

It’s a keeper

I use this case to hold my ID and other cards. They stay dry and secure but easy to access when needed.

Good if you are careful.

I've used these before but this is the 1st clear one. It leaked the 1st time I used it, but I may have had a corner of a dollar bill compromising the seal. Over half an hour period in a pool, I got about a teaspoon of water in it. I used silicone grease from my Underwater camera to lube the O ring and it was fine afterwards.

Nice

The case itself is great.. however, I put a phone in that touched the top, I did not realize fast enough, so phone pushed against top cover, did not latch tight and pouch filled with water! Keeps keys, etc, perfectly!
