Comments about Chili's Cadet Sunglasses - Kids' - Polarized:
I bought two pairs for my two sons 3 & 4 at the time. Within the first hour one lens was popping out regularly, and by the end of the day one frame was cracked. The glasses look nice, fit well, offer proper protection and were at a price point I felt was appropriate for young children who are likely to loose them - but they are incredibly poorly designed for durability. These are not meant for young children, or even regular use/packing/etc. The plastic frame is hard, not flexible and provides no give. The lenses are just snapped into a groove. I've had $2.50 sunglasses [...] that have lasted years - but I wasn't sure they offered full UV protection. For young children it seems the choice is either pay more for the jubolo glasses or settle for the unknown UV protection of the lower end glasses. These were a waste of time & money.
Service and delivery comments:
I ordered these through REI.com, they arrived quickly and well packaged. The REI guarantee was great - we were able to return them the next day to the REI store in our area for a full refund. The REI service staff was terrific, there was no hassle and the return was smooth.

Comments about Chili's Cadet Sunglasses - Kids' - Polarized:
My 3-yr-old son has used these for about a year with none of the breakage issues mentioned by others. I think if you sat on them or stepped on them they would break, but if your child will keep them on and treat them with respect you should have no problems. He just recently scratched the lenses accidentally, so I'm going to buy 2-3 more pairs of these so he has spares. They seem very durable to me. The 100% UV protection is a must for us and at such a low price, I think these sunglasses are a great deal.

Got these for my five year old. They broke after one day of light use, without rough handling. Junk.

A nice fit for our 21 month old and man, does he look cool out on the trails. Provides UV protection and are sturdy.
