Bad mounting system

The lock itself is fine, and seems very beefy. But all On Guard locks of this type have a very bad mounting system. I have two of their locks. One one of the mounting brackets, it was very, very hard to get the lock set (you have to push very hard, and this is even after I greased it).The other mount worked a little better, but after using it for commuting every day, the little plastic guides on the mount have slowly broken, so that now it will no longer mount the lock.Replacement mounts are [$] [...] on [@] -- hardly worth it.So, lock is fine for occasional use, but if you use it every day, you'll be frustrated by how hard it is to secure the lock in its mount, and by how quickly the mount breaks.

I think I may steer clear of this particular brand of bicycle lock in the future. Purchased this lock and within one week the locking mechanism failed. I exchanged it for a supposedly stronger lock of the same brand thinking that the initial failure was a fluke, but just had the same thing happen today.
