Comments about Native Eyewear Dash XP Sunglasses - Polarized:

I initially bought these sunglasses for riding my bike to work. Interchangeable, lightweight lenses and tight-fitting frames where my main criteria. After I bought this pair, I liked the way they look and I've switched to these as my regular sunglasses. They are exceptionally comfortable and clear, so I sometimes forget they're on.

I've had two issues: First, the blue paint on my pair started to flake off and get in my eyes after a few months. Second, I managed to break the plastic around the hinge when I had them in a pocket (not while wearing or in the case). Fortunately, it is easy to get the frames replaced under the Lifetime Warranty. The replacement frames do not have the paint problem, so that might have been a defect in my pair.

I've found the orange lens useful in lower light situations, and the clear lens is ideal for cycling in the evening, but the yellow lens has not proved to be necessary. Perhaps it would be better for someone with eyes less light sensitive than mine. My polarized lens is non-reflective grey, which is effective in all but the harshest light. I've considered purchasing another pair with brown lenses for the increased contrast or reflective grey for use on snow or water.

I have a largish face and the Dash XP frames fit me perfectly. I've tried the Dash SS frames, which work with the XP lenses, and they are slightly tighter and uncomfortable. Be sure to get the right size.

Comments about Native Eyewear Dash XP Sunglasses - Polarized:

I've had a lot of glasses. My most recent was the Oakley half-jacket, nice lightweight frame, but the frame didn't seem to hold the lens very tight after a little while, they were lose and would rattle. I've had some bolle over the years along with other high-end brands, but these glasses are great for any situation. The Oakley’s came with one set of lenses (not polarized either) These Natives come with 2 sets of polarized lens. I use the regular tint for all daytime or bright situations, but what I really like is the Amber lenses. I do a lot of motorcycle riding, when it's low light, cloudy, gloomy, etc... The tinted lens is just too dark, the clear lens is not dark enough. The amber lens is just right and they also make things seem brighter and clearer. I where the Amber Lenses a lot. One other nice thing is the case. You get a hard case that has storage for the extra lenses and the supplied micro fiber cleaning cloth in the lid of the case so they are up and out of the way. (Something I find VERY handy) You really are getting a whole lot of bang for your buck with these Natives. I would suggest getting them no matter what your uses are.

I just took the plunge into high quilty/expensive glasses and let me say there NICE. the warranty brought me to them and i tried them on and i had to have them. I have only had them for a short time and i have allready purchaced lense kits for them. the only problem i have had with them is that the inside corners fog up in very cold conditions. p.s. get the silver lenses with the initial purchace of else you'll just end up buying them later.

Comments about Native Eyewear Dash XP Sunglasses - Polarized:

I am a semi-retired TV news cameraman. My eyes are important to me. These glasses saved my eyes recently. While doing lawn-work I left a rake laying on the ground. I stepped on the head of the rake and as a result, took the handle of the rake directly to my face with incredible force. I was wearing the Dash XP glasses. The glasses were blown off of my face and the lenses were thrown 10' in two different directions. I didn't even get a black eye. Yes I was lucky, very lucky that I wasn't wearing glass lenses like my old Maui Jim's. They would have been destroyed and I would have probably gotten glass slivers in my eyes. This is my second pair of Native XP's. I seem to have lost the first pair. I purchased a second pair and when the reflective blue lenses began to fail, [...] simply handed me a new pair. The yellow lenses are worthless to me. I wish they would bundle both the brown and gray polarized lenses in the original kit. Oh, yeah. I keep finding myself surprised that I am still wearing the glasses. Very comfortable!

Comments about Native Eyewear Dash XP Sunglasses - Polarized:

I won't leave the house without my sunglasses so these get put thru the wringer when it comes to abuse. They stay in a jacket pocket or on my head as long as I'm awake. I've dropped them on a few occasions but they have only scatched when I would expect anyhting else to have done the same or worse. I like that they are light and stay put when I'm wearing them. I have a rather large head and often think glasses look too small on my face but I really like the look of these on. For over 5 years I have had been wearing Natives of several differnt styles and the current Dash XPs have been in service for about a year, I sat on the first ones after having those for over a year, which brings me to the only downside in my opinion which is the $30 price tag for warranty replacement. It's not because I sat on them cause I've replaced 3 pairs thru the warranty in the past. While I dont like it its still cheaper to replace them twice than the last pair of Oakley Flack Jackets I bought when I broke my Natives since I couldn't find a dealer nearby. I really don't consider another brand anymore when I go to get new sunglasses.

I owned these for 5 years before I lost them at work on the river. I wore them nearly 300 days/year at work, hiking, climbing, riding, etc, etc. Extremely durable, very good protection, will buy another pair and put a leash on them this time. Great purchase!

I bought these mainly for cross-country skiing but I also use them for cycling. Great to have the different lenses to use in sunny-weather (gray), on lighted loops (clear), and on cloudy days (yellow). I tried a number of different pairs and decided on these because they had the best ventilation - they still occasionally fog up, but not nearly as quickly as other pairs. Only disadvantage I found is that lenses seem to get scratched quite easily.
