Comments about Chaco Flip - Men's:
There are plenty of cheap "slippah" sandals to be had here in Hawaii. For us it is the wear any where foot wear.
But one of the nastiest things you can step on out here is the large kiawe thorns. They go right through the bottom of your slippahs....unless you have your Flips on !
I brought a pair back from the mainland a couple of years ago....and have rarely taken them off. After seeing the performance of mine, almost all of my group of friends have bought their own pair.
Everyone agrees it is the best slippah they have used....and they even look nice enough to wear out to dinner or at a wedding (we all have done both)....get a pair !
They are more expensive than the $5 drug store sandals, but the Vibram sole lasts way longer and they are MUCH more durable.

Comments about Chaco Flip - Men's:
Living in Africa requires footwear that lasts and never gives up. I wear my Chacos for everything, safaris, digging, beach, hiking, etc. With a pair of Chacos on my feet I never worry about needing another pair of shoes. Simply marvelous!

Wore these flips to my beach-themed holiday party...big mistake. After gettin' my drink on and tearin' up the dance floor, the strap separated from the footbed!!! This wardrobe malfunction dampened the rest of the evening for me. [...]

Good sandals but they are a bit hard. They don't have much padding on the sole. They will last a long time but aren't all that comfortable.

I originally thought these were a bit expensive for flip-flops, but having tried their Z1 sandals, I gave these a try and fell in love with them. They're extremely comfortable and relatively lightweight for a sturdy design. I like the Vibram soles and have found them grippy on wet surfaces. Two thumbs up!

Comments about Chaco Flip - Men's:
I've never had much luck with sandals. They did not fit well, chafed, fell apart, did not hold up to water. These flip-flops seem miraculous: their sole is molded such that they actually support the arch in my foot and do not slip off in water (this means that I could -- and did -- give up my ill-fitting Tevas for good). They are comfortable over long-periods of time. The straps are wide enough to not chafe, yet sturdy enough not to snap. I've used my pair every day over the last two summers, in the city, on the beach, in the country. I took them to Australia, to Europe, to Duluth, I've gardened in them, even spontaneously hiked in them, and they are still going strong.

Comments about Chaco Flip - Men's:
I am a woman with wider feet, so I bought the men's flips because they fit better. Overall I really like these shoes--they're supportive, stylish, don't chafe too much after about a week, and have nice, thick soles that protect my feet from rocks and thorns.
But...even though I've had these sandals for over two years, they still squeak under my feet! Sometimes it doesn't happen, or isn't as noticeable, but often times it's embarrassingly loud. I don't know if the strap simply isn't tight enough on my foot or what, but I don't wear them to quiet places like church or the library anymore for that reason.

Tried multiple brands, especially more expensive flips. These were the most comfortable and well built then other pricier ones. I would have been totally ok paying double but to my surprise found a flip half the price, just as stylish with jeans, khakis and shorts, and more durable. Great arch support too1!

Great sandal, I bought it thinking i was an idiot for paying this much for a thong, but it has worked out great! i've had the same pair for almost 4 years now and they look nearly brand new, the straps haven't even shown any wear or tear!

Comments about Chaco Flip - Men's:
I went into the local REI wanting to purchase some new Reef sandals (after 6 years of use, they were finally dead). I was unhappy with the new "styles" of Reef sandals, as they were too "loud" and actually pretty ugly. I saw some flips that looked really cool, and then saw the price tag. [$] for flip flops? I tried them on and they felt pretty good, albeit very stiff. I asked the salesman if these "chacos" are worth the price, as I had never owned a pair before. He said there was a reason every employee at the store owned a pair. So I bought them. I actually kinda hated them the first week or two, and almost brought them back. However, by the third week they were nicely broken in, and now I get excited to put them on every time. They feel so good on my feet. Very comfortable. They also have very thick soles, so I dont have to worry about things poking through the bottom. I have owned them about three months now, and there is virtually no wear. They will last me at least a couple seasons, most likely more.I would recommend these sandals to anyone who loves to wear flip flops on a regular basis.
