Beware if you have a wide foot

I did research on shoes before heading to the store. I thought this was going to be my everyday wear shoe. I was very sad to realize on vacation that the shoe was just too narrow for my wide foot. I stopped wearing them on the first day and returned them. It was a great shoe for travel. I dislike sneakers because my feet just get too hot. Sandels don't provide any support. I was really sad these shoes didn't work out. No other review I read on any website said anything about the width of the shoe. The shoe is very difficult to get on and off too. The sales associate said it would get easier with wear. By the way, this shoe has the widest toe box of the Keen's line up.

KEEN poor quality

Do NOT buy these shoes or any KEEN products. They are a waste of your money. After purchasing a pair of KEEN Newport H2’s and wearing them a couple of times, the stitching that connects the heel has already come undone making the shoes unwearable. The shoes had little to no wear on the treads, so  I contacted KEEN regarding the issue. They informed me that they do not stand behind the workmanship of their products. I am very disappointed with the quality of the shoes and that the KEEN brand will not stand behind their products when there is a clear manufacturing defect. These shoes are trash; don't waste your money.

Great performance and comfortable!

I've used these shoes from urban walks to advanced, steep, and muddy hiking in Kauai, Hawaii. In every situation they perform excellent. People even asked me and my spouse, who wears same type, about the shoes because they could see us through mud, rivers, rocks, uphill, downhill with no worries. And after 4-5 hours of hike we barely got any blisters. They are comfortable, they fit tight (which is a big plus), and have good grip. The only thing I don't like as much is that they are not a fast dry and can be hard to put them on.

Comfortable!

I needed to replace my old sandals that finally fell apart after 20 years. I have always had a difficult time finding shoes that are comfortable and offer the correct arch support. Also, I need a wide toe box, but my heels are very narrow. I can feel every tiny pebble that I step on, so any shoe I wear has to have excellent padding. The Keen Newport H2 is the perfect replacement. They run small so I purchased a size 7 instead of my usual 6-1/2, but they fit well in both the toe box and heel. They have excellent arch support and padding. I couldn't be happier. I purchased them in the beet red color which is a nice change from my ugly brown sandals.

So far, so good

I have some trouble getting the shoe on and off but that is probably due to recent knee surgery and the inability to bend my knee. I get rocks, pine needles, etc. inside and need to stop to fish out the stuff. I use it for walking/hiking on easy trails, at the beach, around the river/wading, and for casual wear outside in my yard. So far so good, and I am happy with my decision to purchase these shoes as a replacement for worn out Teva's.

Love, love, love these sandals!

I had read about these sandals on a cruise forum, where these shoes were recommended for a variety of terrains while on shore excursions. Reviews on other sites raved about these sandals as well. My husband and I each got a pair for our upcoming cruise, and we absolutely love them. They feel comfortable and broken in from the start. They do not chafe in any way. We reach for them all the time when we need a comfortable, versatile sandal. Besides being so comfortable, I've gotten many comments on how cute they are. When they go on sale again, I will buy more in different colors. I just can't say enough nice things about these sandals!

Best shoe ever!

Great for almost anything. Almost no break in time. I picked these up the night before I left for South America. They still look and feel great. I've taken them trekking and exploring in the rain forests of Costa Rica and Brazil. You can have a very muddy adventure during the day- wash them off- ready to go dancing all night long! Wonderful for travel, durable and easy to clean. Great for ocean kayaking too I have bad knees and need arch support. These are comfortable and supportive shoes. The guys love them too. I've met some really cute guys wearing these. Never have received compliments at the campsite until I got my keens.

CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT THESE

Everything about the H2's is great---except had quite a bit of trouble with finding right fit. I'm a 10.5 and that size gave me blisters, tried several different pairs --even men's 9.5--and finally found that size 11 W fit in one color (blue) and gave blisters in another (black). VERY STRANGE. Stitching/top strap placement was actually slightly different on the black pair and I was about to give up and then tried the same size 11 in blue and voila! No issues. They are great for hiking and for going in and out of water. Dry slowly but very comfortable once I found pair that didn't give blisters.

Comfortable but clunky

The Newports are comfortable like most Keens, and I love the toe bumpers. Also, they are pretty durable and easy to clean off. However, they feel clunky and heavy if I wear them for very long. Also, they are NOT great shoes to wear to the beach. I made that mistake and it was irritating to keep taking them off to get the sand out (they take a bit of work to get on and off, so it is not easy to keep taking them off to get stuff out of them). Also, my feet tend to get hot and sweaty in them when I use them for hiking unless I wear them with socks to wick away the moisture, which kind of defeats the purpose of wearing hiking sandles.

Not what these sandals used to be.....

I've purchased 2 other pairs of H2 water sandals over the years and loved them. When I tried these on after arrival, I thought I'd purchased the wrong shoe. Same size I always wear but I couldn't even get my foot in them. They appeared cheaper looking and they were. The straps aren't the quality they were in the past, and when I tried to adjust the strap to tighten, it didn't work smoothly. The plastic on that was cheap and barely moved. Sadly, I have to return them. Why must everything be made so poorly nowadays? I'd rather pay more and get a better product.
