Comments about Overland Equipment Placer:
...BUT I love this bag!
Many adventure oriented bags have so many pockets that one is hard-pressed to find their cellphone before the voicemessage system picks up--let alone lipbalm or spare change. This purse has just the right combination of secure pouches and easy access pockets that important items have a place, but don't get lost in a web of zippers, hidden poches, mesh etc.
As a habitual misplacer of phones and wallets, I am pleased to report that I have neither misplaced my wallet, nor my phone since purchasing this sporty little number! The handy velcro flap makes accessing items in the front pocket quick and easy on the fly. My favorite feature is the fuzzy no-scratch-your-sunglasses pouch under the flap. I can access both phone and sunglasses while bicycle commuting without pulling over (whether or not that is a safe practice is questionable).
This handbag is just the right size for people that hate to carry a purse, but really need to stop losing phones, wallets, etc. My husband even thinks its cute...
What's in my purse today?--My wallet, phone, sunglasses, keys, chewing gum, Pen, burt's bees lip balm, pen, emergency feminine hygiene product, riding gloves, and a small notebook/planner. It all fits and there is still room.

This was a gift for a friend who loves the outdoors. I filled it with granola bars, a pen, and a hiking journal. She loved it!

Comments about Overland Equipment Placer:
I have several Overland bags. This is the smallest one but it is useful for quick trips or for long trip to carry essentials while I carry larger bags to accommodate my family's items. I have the Aloe with Dahlia interior.Under the flap, it has a key fob to connect your keys so that you can't lose them. There are 2 pen pockets, a fleece-lined sunglass pocket or cell phone pocket, whichever you choose to use it for. Behind those is also another pocket, a good size for your passport. The flap on the bottom has a mesh pocket with zipper that I currently use for my IPOD nano. The main pocket is a zippered compartment that is pretty roomy for a small purse, and there is a back pocket that you can stick items in too. The strap is adjustable and sturdy and the fabric is very durable 1000D nylon that is water resistant. I love the lining that peaks out from under the flap. I actually wish it showed more since it is pretty Asian floral lining. Overland changes up its color schemes and linings often, so if you get tired of one color, you can always get something different later. I also had a beige one, but it doesn't have a pretty lining so I got the Aloe/Dahlia one too. All my Overland bags are great quality--I have a Trinidad, Skyscraper, Loie, and 2 Placers. And they are made in California, not in a different country.

Comments about Overland Equipment Placer:
This bag was my first from this company, Overland Equipment. It is made of durable, high quality fabric-similar to pack cloth or cordura and has a tough webbing strap. The strap is long enough (and adjustable)that I could carry it across my body for a better distribution of weight and safety, as well as the convenience of hands-free. My only gripe with this little beaut. is that the opening at the top of the main compartment is too narrow and makes it hard to find things, like keys, which inevitably fall to the bottom. I would sometimes have to dump the entire contents of the main compartment to get at the recalcitrant item. I liked the fun fabric-covered outside flap and compartments, but if I put something in all compartments, it was hard to keep closed.
I am not someone who changes purses very often, so, this bag was a bit small for me. I have traded-up to a larger bag of a slightly different style from this same company. I will definitely buy Overland bags again!

Comments about Overland Equipment Placer:
I suffer from fybromyalgia and have found purses to be too heavy on my shoulder. They all cause pain. This wonderful bag is so comfortable and I feel so secure when I shop because I am able to wear it across my body. I feel very secure and fashionable at the same time. I am so happy to have found this bag. I actually bought another color. I hope to get one more basic for winter. Being on social security I do have to limit my shopping. so, I will wait for a sale or put this on my Christmas list. Thank you
