Comments about Snow Peak Giga Power Blended Fuel Stove:
Fantastic when you need an isobutane canister stove that performs in the wind! Easily adjusts from a rolling boil to candle-like simmer (unlike white gas "blowtorch" style stoves). The remote canister allows for use of a windscreen, as well as heavy cooking pots for groups of 3-6. I can simmer soups as easily as I can boil water. The auto ignition is convenient, but the gas comes out so fast that you have to be quick to light it, otherwise you'll have a small explosion of runaway fuel. Tricky to pack in small plastic container, but worth the effort to use a sturdy container for the stove. Works best with Snow Peak fuel, MSR burns cooler. Overall excellent for backpacking or light car camping.

Comments about Snow Peak Giga Power Blended Fuel Stove:
We used this stove on the John Muir Trail in a group of three. It supported our large MontBell Titanium 1.5L pot very well. The stability of the remote canister design is clearly the main feature of this stove, but it comes at a price - the extra weight compared to minimalist stoves is clearly noticable.
Things that worked well were temp control and fuel need. What didn't work well was the built-in igniter (it rarely works, we just used our lighter and decided the built-in was for backup only). The remote canister hose is also too stiff - when cold and just unpacked it wants to twist the stove over unless you put a heavy pot in it. You learn to deal with these things, but this summer we're going with a much ligher and less stable stove instead.
This one will still get much use in the future, just not when weight is critical.
