I got these for my son when he was only 1.5 years old and he is now 4 and is still using them. They have lasted a long time. Yes they are a little scratched by now and I have had to tighten the screws now and again (like with any glasses). As to the person whose son's glasses broke maybe they wouldn't have broke so easily if you had your son use the slide correctly instead of head first.

We got these glasses for my daughter at 6 mo. albeit they were a little large (even for her ginormous head) at the time. We like to play outdoors and she wore them regularly (to the park, river, camping, beach, etc.) and asked for them when it was too bright. They've finally succumbed to her rough abuse at broke at the zoo today after a year and a half... not quite the lifespan of my glasses, but then again... she's a toddler and doesn't quite under "gently" very well. I think they're great and plan to purchase a replacement as soon as I get a chance.

I got these for my 3 year old. He wore them well at the park. He was going head first down the slide. He slide right of and face first. He was okay but the sun glasses were not. The lens popped right out and the snapped in the middle.
