The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Mary Janes Farm MaryJanesFarm Organic Mac 'n Cheese - Single Serving:
Despite the 1 star reviews posted previously. I thought this meal had really good cheese flavor. This is much better than the other freeze dried Mac 'n Cheese meals available. Most importantly for our family is that both of our kids loved it!!

Food is very subjective so I can't tell you what you will like. I however find this to be quite good Mac & Cheese. It is NOT the strongest flavor but I actually enjoyed the subtlety.
IMO this is definitely worth trying. You may find you agree with other reviewers or not depending upon your personal tastes.

Comments about Mary Janes Farm MaryJanesFarm Organic Mac 'n Cheese - Single Serving:
I actually saved this meal for the last night of a 9-day backpack leading to the Mt Whitney summit, thinking there could never be anything better than mac and cheese on the trail. Wow, was I wrong. This had absolutely no flavor. I am not a finicky eater, but even I had to convince my hiking partner to add several spoonfuls of his bean chili meal (of another brand) to make it palatable.

This product is 100% awful... Reading the reviews that praise this meal actually makes me angry... I prepared this on the trail twice (should have tried it first)... both times, some of the noodles remained hard, and the cheese "sauce" has no flavor... if you pack this, bring some salt and pepper... the price tag is no short of an insult... just one man's opinion... peace

This was the first Mary Jane's Farms backpacking meal I have tried, and it is still one of my favorites. Classic Mac & Cheese can't go wrong!
My only suggestion is to make sure you cook it the full 10+ minutes or else the pasta will be chewy.
Also, some ground black pepper is a nice spice to add, as with all Mac & Cheese.
Yum!

After a 12 hour Mt Adams climb (camp to summit and summit to camp), I prepared this meal expecting to consume a basic mac 'n cheese dinner.
The noodles were chewy and lacked taste but it was the awful cheese mix (which lacked resemblance to any cheese I've ever eaten) that makes me rank this my worst backcountry meal.

This dish was very good compared to others I've tasted.

Comments about Mary Janes Farm MaryJanesFarm Organic Mac 'n Cheese - Single Serving:
I was tiring of the overbearing flavor of freeze dried Mac 'n Cheese from the larger companies (e.g., Mountain House). My first thought with tasting this product was "Bland" but, you know, I was looking for a grown-up meal--the cheese flavor was much more subtle (see caveat below) and that's OK and it could have used a bit more salt but you can add your own to suit your own taste.
I actually gave it 4 stars because the packaging says to add 2/3 cups H2O and my water bottle was marked in oz and ml and I'm not sure how much water that was so I overdid the water and to pour some out (surely adding to the blandness).
This is my first try of this product line: I'll try others and decide if I'll stay with it. Cost is also a factor--the markup is significant.

Comments about Mary Janes Farm MaryJanesFarm Organic Mac 'n Cheese - Single Serving:
On a recent trip to the Sierras, we cooked up some MaryJanesFarms mac and cheese. Cooked well, texture was fine, but there is some kind of funky taste in the cheese, which I also noticed in the Mountain House pasta primavera. I think they all must be using the same kind of processed cheese. We just didn't think it tasted very good, although I choked it down.

Comments about Mary Janes Farm MaryJanesFarm Organic Mac 'n Cheese - Single Serving:
"Caution Yellow" was the color of this otherwise insipid entree. Are they trying to jazz it up or just warn us. The sticky "cheese" substance was hard to clean off of the bowl. This rates as one of the worst F-D meals of 18 years of backpacking. Evidently one can go wrong with mac and cheese.
