Doesn't take too long to cook (seven minutes). Pretty good portion size and good taste - somewhat spicy, which I liked. Fairly filling so I wasn't left looking for something else to eat, but was also light enough that it didn't feel like it bogged me down.

I tried this brand / flavor on a whim, I plan to try more MaryJanesFarm from now on.

This says it's a vegan meal, organic and all that healthy jazz. I am not a vegan, but I think with the addition of some Summer sausage chopped up this would be a really hearty and nutritious meal.

The flavor is excellent, nice texture and was not runny at all. It is however, not really a Chili to me. More of a vegetable soup type of flavor which is still pretty good. Don't think your gonna have a bite full of Dennisons or Stag chili when purchasing this.

What I like most of the MJ Farms brand is that you can fit alot more into a Bearvault solo (what I use).

Mary Janes Kettle chilli like all of Mary Janes dried vegetarian and vegan meals, is delicious and hearty. Warms you right up. The preparing pouches work well for preparation but I have also used them as a tea kettle as well as for preparing other foods like oatmeal or noodles. The pouches also make good foul weather tent toilets and are biodradable.

I had five of MJ's meals on my most recent BWCA trip and was WAY impressed with the flavor and quality of ingredients. If they were a little less expensive I'd buy them to eat at work. Will definitely buy these again for our next trip.

This is a really good backpacking meal. I was pleasantly surprised the first time I tried it. One of my favorite meals to take with on a trip. You do have to be careful not to add too much water or it gets to runny.

This chili has little taste at all. All I could think of was that eating the dirt I was standing on, would have taste the same. After adding salt and pepper I confirmed this thought.
