The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Canine Hardware Travel Bed:
Greyhounds have no built-in padding. As a result they are connoisseurs of comfy lounging spots. These beds are nearly universally adored by retired Greyhounds everywhere. If one dog stands up another one steals the bed. Even have a pick of two Greys sleeping ying & yang style on one bed. They are light, packable, portable, comfortable, durable, easy to wash & dry, sized for large dogs, & even great as crate mats. The only con is that the bottom is slick nylon so they slide easily on slick floors. That bothers me, but not the dogs.

Comments about Canine Hardware Travel Bed:
My 2 y/o Chocolate lab McKenzie loves her bed. She sleeps on it every night at home, then we pack it up in a Sea to Summit compression sack and away we go. It packs down as small 7"x12", the same size as my Kelty Light Year down bag. Both fit in the sleeping bag compartment on my Bora 80 pack. She goes on every backpacking and camping trip and so does her bed.
The top is soft almost like microfiber, and shows now signs of wear despite plenty of dirt, slobber, pawing, ash, sap, constant wet dog soakings, all other doggie activities and multiple washings.
The bottom is blue rip-stop material. It feels just like a sleeping bag and is somewhat water resistant. The bed sheds dirt with ease. Just a quick shake before bed and the tent stays clean.
She knows to stay on her bed so no toe nail punctures in the bottom of the tent yet. fingers crossed.
This bed rocks, you won't be disappointed.

Comments about Canine Hardware Travel Bed:
My lab puppy loves this bed, all 65lbs of him. It fits perfectly in the back of my Jeep Liberty. It does attract sand/dirt from his fur, and stuff clings to it. But, it's easy to shake out and fluff.
Pros: Washes easily, wears well, good for hot/cold weather. Cons: Gets thin spots, not very padded, slips around in the back of the car.

Comments about Canine Hardware Travel Bed:
This bed keeps my greyhound-pit warm & comfy sleeping in a tent - which is saying a lot because he gets cold easily and is definitely a greyhound in his need for soft, cozy spots to sleep.
It doesn't pack down quite as small as I'd hoped, but maybe a little compression sack will help that. And it's totally adequate for most uses - car camping, general travel, around the house - and I think it'll work fine for short backpacking trips with the dog (although we haven't tried that yet).
It is also not a huge bed - my dog is about 50 lbs and he can lay out on his side fine on it, but I imagine some of the bigger labs or other sporting dogs might find it a bit tight, especially if they like to stretch out.
If we're going on a car trip out of town, I always throw this on the back seat, so he's got "his spot" to relax. It's on the dining room floor right now where the sun shines in and he often chooses it over his favorite spot on the couch.

Comments about Canine Hardware Travel Bed:
Thick and soft do not describe the two beds we received. Our dogs prefer them to the hard floor but they are not as comfortable as carpet. Our dogs follow us into every room and they are expressive about their reclining preferences. These are their least favorite beds in the house.
We have traveled thousands of miles with our dogs in a Honda Element. These beds give the dogs a familiar place to settle down without taking up a lot of space when rolled up. They don't provide much padding.
We have washed these beds several times. They are not too bulky to fit in the washing machine and they come out just like new. I think that's the best part of owning these beds: not having to keep stinky, muddy beds around for long.

I travel with my dogs... 70 pounds each! Camping and car travel are easier with this little gem. While a greyhounds legs are longer than the dimensions, she doesn't seem to mind! I use this in the back of the car for travel, put it directly on the ground near the campfire, and them move it inside the tent for a bed. She knows to follow the comfort!

Comments about Canine Hardware Travel Bed:
Our regular camping spot drops to about 28F overnight. My Rhodesian Ridgeback uses this for warmth just as much as cushioning. Fold once and it rolls up quickly, then cram it into the stuff sack. The handy and sturdy carabiner-clippable handle allows for quickly adding to my backpack before the hike out. It's just as easy to extract from the sack and it doesn't blow around in the wind, either. Doubles as a comforter when other cushioning is available.

the ease of washing this makes it perfect. I have bought many dog beds then threw them out when the insides got gross and have wasted a lot of money until I found this product

Comments about Canine Hardware Travel Bed:
I bought this because of the reviews from other Greyhound owners, and have to agree with them. This is a wonderful bed our new Grey. I was a little worried when it first arrived and I pulled it out since she started scratching and biting at it playfully when I put it down in front of her, but it withstood the punishment. She quickly laid down on it and looked to be quite comfortable. Later that evening she even when to this bed when one of her larger beds was right next to it. The compact size when packed up makes it convenient for taking it along to Greyhound meet and greets that we attend, and I'm sure it will be invaluable when we travel with our dog.

Comments about Canine Hardware Travel Bed:
Our Vizsla loves this bed. I originally got it to line his kennel when shipping him overseas. We kept it in there as he sleeps in the kennel at night, but we also take it with us on trips from camping to overnights at our parents' homes. Wherever you put it, he will sleep on it. It's also nice to line the car seats while travelling. Super easy to clean, just throw it in the washer. We have had it over 3 years now with daily use and it still looks great. It's nice in the summer also when a fleecy bed would be too hot.
