This paddling jacket has worked well for me over fleece in cool autumn temperatures on lakes in Minnesota. It is noticeably more breathable than a non-breathable coated nylon paddling jacket that I used to use. The jacket vents fairly well if the neck is open.

I would like the neck opening to be a little bigger to make it easier to take the jacket on and off while wearing glasses

This jacket was a perfect packable alternative to standard heavier paddling jackets, and offered the same degree of water resistance. It has a simple design and works well for 3-season sea kayaking as well as moderate whitewater pursuits. The neoprene wrists and neck work well to keep out unwanted drips, although it does have a tendency to heat up quickly and only vents well through the neck. However, I have been impressed with its packability and versatility as rain/spray protection for recreational and touring needs.
