Comments about Snow Peak Titanium 3-Piece Cookset:

This is a great product for solo backpacking, especially if it will primarily be used for boiling water. You can fit one of those small plastic 8oz cups (graduated in 2oz increments) inside, and Snow Peak's Giga Power stove still fits inside that. Use the plastic cup to measure out water to boil for freeze-dried meals in the big pot, and use the fry pan for a lid. The smaller pot is great as a cup for tea or coffee. Throw a folding Ti spoon in the included mesh stow sack and you have all you need. Water boils very quickly, and you can't beat the compact size and weight for a complete kitchen with the Giga Power stove stowed inside. I find this cookset/stove combination to be more versatile and compact than the jetboil, for around the same price. The only negatives -- which are true for all thin Ti pots -- are that food burns easily and the pots will warp if overheated.

Comments about Snow Peak Titanium 3-Piece Cookset:

I use this set with the mini-Trangia alchohol stove and a cut-down windscreen. The Trangia conveniently fits in the small bowl and the windscreen wraps around my candle lantern.

In my opinion this Snow Peak set is the perfect size for the solo hiker using a small stove. Sure the metal turns colors and otherwise behaves like titanium, it's not non-stick (who really knows what's in that non-stick mystery plastic anyway) but the gear is light and tough and won't poison you and that's good enough for me. I have been using this set for a couple of years now and highly recommend it to those who need to go light and still do some cookin'. Add the Trangia or other serviceable, low-impact/low-footprint stove and you'll be well equipped for the standard walkabout.

Comments about Snow Peak Titanium 3-Piece Cookset:

This set is my bowl, pan, water boiler, mug, and dishpan when I'm out backpacking. I feed myself and my friends with the set, and I am always impressed with the ideal size and light weight. It has discolored some, but I can appreciate that my use shows a bit. You can avoid discoloration by spreading a little Campsuds on the outside before setting it on the flame. Also, stable enough to put directly in the fire - I do that all the time! Great ware.

Comments about Snow Peak Titanium 3-Piece Cookset:

This pot set is very versatile for its size and price. The dimensions are such that you can stack the big pot on top of the small pot full of water to create a double boiler. The lit/frying pan holds enough water for a cup of coffee. The big pot alone will stow 12 oz of gas. the shape of the pots encourages flames to ride along the contours for better efficiency. The indentation at the bottom adds stability on top of small stoves with equally small pot supports. The surface is not non-stick, but is still slippery because of the alloy. The pot handles can get hot near the pot and are made of steel, so they release their heat more slowly. The pots will discolor with use, but it's more a patina than discoloration. Besides you want your stuff to look used, don't you?! Also durable enough to hammer stakes into the ground. When melting snow, be sure to have water at the bottom otherwise the heat will permanently warp the pot. Still works great, though! :-)

Comments about Snow Peak Titanium 3-Piece Cookset:

I have a stove that fits perfectly in this 3-piece cookset (fuel packed separately). It's very lightweight and sturdy.

Discoloration on the outside after several uses but it's harmless.

Handles will get hot, recommend towel or mitt.

It is not a non-stick cookware so remember, any food you cook in it will stick and char to the cookware. More scrubbing + more soap = no fun.

Comments about Snow Peak Titanium 3-Piece Cookset:

This is a great little set, dont bother if using for multiple people, but for a soloist its great. real lightweight, awsome rounded bottom so its easy to clean.really the only downside is that when its all collapsed inside of eachother there isnt much you can stuff inside the pots with it, maybe a gigapower or pocket rocket. but i like to fit most of my cooking stuff inside my cookware. but thats personal preference.I have used this set quite a bit and I really do like it. a good price as far as titanium goes considering you get 3 peices for under [$]

Comments about Snow Peak Titanium 3-Piece Cookset:

These pots are lightweight and seem to be nearly indestructable. They've weathered salt water, sandy conditions, and everything in between. They don't react to anything, although they're quite thin and it can be easy to burn your food if you're not carefull. The pots stack inside of each other easily with the pan as a snap-on cover, so they take up minimal room. You also don't have to worry about scratching a non-stick coating. The only real drawback is that the fold out handles get in the way while you're cooking. In order to get a wind screen fully around your cooking area the handles have to be folded back, but when you go to pull them back out, they're pretty hot...

This set is a good buy! It is lightweight and durable. I have been using this for 3 years, aside from the discoloration my set is still OK.

I combined this set with my Evernew 0.9L pot and it worked out perfect. The 2 bowls fit inside the Evernew while the pan fits on the outside bottom part. Good for cooking meals for 2-3 persons.

Very light and compact, and it even has a little space inside for other stuff (matches, scrub brush, etc.) Be careful cooking actual food, as the burn marks stain easily. We pretty much use it to boil water for our food, rather than cook the food in it.

Comments about Snow Peak Titanium 3-Piece Cookset:

This set is almost perfect. I used it on my 5-Day trip through Rae Lakes in the Sierras and cooked trout on the lid and ramen in the bowls. The only thing that would make this set perfect is if the handles were heat-resistant. Despite this minor flaw, it is a wonderful set for backpacking/hiking.
