Used for a four day volunteer trip in the Israeli southern desert. Keep my feet dry and comfortable. Definitely recommend for hiking and travel!

Comments about Wigwam Cool-Lite Hiker Pro Quarter Socks:
I wore these for two weeks trekking in Peru, with a pair of LOWA Renegade boots. I only wore one pair (some people swear by doubling up) and couldn't have been more comfortable. Some of that is probably due to how well the boots fit me, but after 30 miles of uphill hiking and a week of wandering the Amazon rainforest, I have zero complaints about my feet.

I reserve 5-star reviews for products that are truly exceptional, so that I may better aid my fellow consumer in making informed purchase decisions. These socks are very close. I've been using these for annual backpacking trips, and after recently trying out some other socks, I will be sticking with these.
I tried out REI wool and liner socks hoping for additional blister protection and comfort with some new boots. They didn't work out so well (3 out of 5 star reviews for both). When I finally got around to trying my old Wigwam socks out with my new boots, I realized that I didn't have a need for any additional blister protection or padding, as these socks had everything I needed. Plus they are better fits for my style of hiking, namely 6-8 mile summer days backpacking. I might try the calf-length ones for added protection from debris.
The only downside I can think of is that it doesn't take long for these socks to lose their fluff. Maybe it's my fault for machine-washing them, or maybe the socks just aren't meant to stay fluffy. Still, I'll be buying more of these.

Comments about Wigwam Cool-Lite Hiker Pro Quarter Socks:
I bought these socks because I'm limited on choices with a wool allergy. I took 2 pairs of these socks on a 5-week backpacking trip across Spain and handwashed them every night. They stood up to all the handwashing far better than my Thorlo socks and they dried fairly quickly. One night somebody stole them off the clothesline at a hostel, but upon walking around the hostel, I found them hanging on a bunk and stole them back! They're that good! Buying some more for this year's trip!

Comments about Wigwam Cool-Lite Hiker Pro Quarter Socks:
These socks are great for every day use and for low top hiking shoes. I wear them often in my every day use and with my low top hiking shoes.
Pros: They wick moisture, keep my feet cool and feel great and they have lasted a long time
Cons: none
I don't recommend these for use with high top boots of any kind because it doesn't come up high enough so you get rubbing from the inside of the boot.

I've been wearing the same pairs (5) for all my running (marathon, ultra-running event) and everyday running for 8 years with hardly any notice of wear. I've never had blisters. Like them better than other socks recommended for running.

I started buying these socks ten years ago...It takes me about two years to wear a pair out. Made the mistake of buying 8 pairs of a knock off from another retailer. They can't even compare to this sock. They all pulled apart at the seams after only 6 months. I wear these on a daily basis and they do exactly what they say. Well worth the money.

I don't understand how, but these socks are amazing. I had no idea that a person could be so comfortable in socks!!!!! I live abroad and my washing machine (no dryer) takes a beating to my clothes and I've worn the same pair at least 2x+ a week since August 09 for hiking Mt. Fuji, teaching, biking, hiking, travel, boots, tennis shoes, hiking shoes, clogs, I even tried them on under heels and decided I could live without them for one evening. These socks are sooo comfortable. I few months ago I NEVER would have spent this much on a single pair of socks, but I just bought 3 more today--10% off discount if you buy 3 or more!

I have two pair and love the performance. They wick moisture well and dry quick. The type of shoe or boot make a big difference. They work very well with mesh type shoes that allow the vapor to escape. I have only used them in fair weather so far.
