    One of the better packs I have used. Put it on my rottie during several trips into the back country and it held up great. Has padding over the pressure spots so my dog remained comfortable. The only better pack in my mind is the ruff wear palisades pack because of the integrated hydration system and the detachable saddle bags.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

    This is without a doubt the best dog pack that I've owned. I have a large German Shepherd Dog (90 lbs.) and the Mountainsmith large size was perfect for him. The saddlebags are roomy, and the pack sits high on the shoulders. This is a better pack than the Kelty (even though it is a bit more expensive).

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
