One of the few products I've returned to REI - surprised they're still selling this piece of junk.

Secured this to a brick wall and put 2 bikes on it (1 mountain, 1 road).

Within a couple of weeks 2 things happened:
1. The plastic moulding/wrapping split and came away from the arms, meaning it scratched my bike.
2. Then it fell off the wall completely, scratching the heck out of my car and my bikes.

If you buy this, you're mad. Hateful product.

    Easy enough to install in my shed - a couple of screws into the studs. After using it a while, I notice that with two lightweight bikes on - the side arms easily come out and the unit collapses. So you have to be very careful getting your bikes on/off. The problem is as I am taking one bike off (and I have my hands full), the weight on the rack shifts, the arms pop out and my other bike hits the deck!
    A great idea - it would be a perfect size and durability if the side arms were fixed
