Comments about CamelBak CamelClip:
I was psyched to buy this.. but when I got it home and tried it - it doesn't stay attached to anything - clothing, sternum strap - nada - a slight pull and the tube and clip are dangling. It is going back!

Comments about CamelBak CamelClip:
As others have said, the clip does not stay attached, which makes the thing useless.

Comments about CamelBak CamelClip:
Bought this to secure my camelbak drink tube for 3-4 mile walks. I couldn't get out of the house before it let go of my clothing or anything I attached it to. Worthless. A safety pin works better.

Comments about CamelBak CamelClip:
The clip I bought and am reviewing is the one currently for sale online and in REI stores. The picture of the clip seen when writing the review, is the old style which worked very well and has an aluminum alligator clip. The current clip did NOT come with instructions and the alligator clip is PLASTIC (not aluminum as stated online in the specs). To make this clip work, one has to rotate the alligator clip 90 degrees to the shaft to unlock and open the clip. Then attach it to the pack and rotate the alligator clip back to 180 degrees to lock into position. I would prefer the old style. However, one advantage of the current clip is it does not have sharp edges like the old type reducing the possibility of tearing material/fabric.

Comments about CamelBak CamelClip:
The clip is not aluminum as advertised and is totally lame for attaching to backpack webbing. It has some teeth and might attach OK to clothing but the spring is weak. It would not stay clipped to my backpack

Comments about CamelBak CamelClip:
The picture on the site is not the clip they now sell. The new one has a much weaker clip that is much more difficult to use. I found it very difficult to clip to anything, and the clip would not stay attached. I wish they had stuck with the old design.

Comments about CamelBak CamelClip:
It takes only seconds to clip on, and helps to keep your water tube tucked out of the way and stable. Nothing fancy about it, but very useful.
