              I bought this to make my own tent footprint when I discovered the REI brand footprint for my REI Kingdom 6 tent didn't cover the inside of the vestibule. Plus I didn't like the [$] price-tag on the REI footprint. For a total of ~$30 - which included tarp, grommets and webbing - I made my own. It was difficult to make holes through two layers of web strapping with the included hole-punch, but I managed. You'll want a big hammer plus a better wood block (a piece of 2x4 works perfectly). But once you've got your holes punched, this thing is super easy to use and is pretty self explanatory. The grommets don't rust and so far they look like they'll hold up to more abuse than I can dish out. If it matters, the #1 kit seems to fit the tent poles from my Kingdom 6 very well.

                  Like the other reviewers, the hole cutting tool is really dull and almost worthless.
                  I sharpened it by grinding the edges using a dremel and it worked perfectly..one or two good hits and it punched right through the webbing I was using..and even through the wooden block.

                  So, sharpen the hole punching tool and you've got the perfect grommet kit.

                        This tool works fine for installing grommets, but like another reviewer said the hole puncher is not sharp. In fact I would have to say it is worthless. Plan on using something else to make the hole or heat the included puncher with a torch and use it to burn the hole (carefully). I would buy this again even with this shortcoming but only because I don't use it often.

                          This is a great package that makes it easy to create your own footprint, add straps to your pack for additional gear etc.

                          Only downside is that the cutting tool is not sharp enough to cut through most fabrics, so I had to use my multitool for that part. Otherwise it would have been 5 stars!
