Comments about Pro Stor Folding Bike Storage Rack - Single:
The racks, although somewhat flimsy, do a great job and are very inexpensive. I mounted two of these vertically in my garage in less than 20 minutes and hung both of my mountain bikes up. Within one week, the bolts snapped on the top rack and the bike came crashing down on the other bike. I reinstalled the racks using a Pine 1x4 and replace the screws with 1/4" lag bolts. Problem solved.

Comments about Pro Stor Folding Bike Storage Rack - Single:
I wanted a rack that would store the bikes off the floor. I read the other reviews on this rack and figured it was fine as long as I don't use the supplied screws. I stopped at REI and picked up two of these.
First I can see why the screws break in the other reviews. Screws look very undersized to me. I used 1/4" x 2 1/2" lag bolts to hold the first rack in place.
Another concern is that the rubberized portion on the end of the rack to protect the bike doesn't go that far back to where the entire frame would be covered. Next work around is using a piece of foam that covers the water pipes to protect the frame.
Main disappointed and reason they are going back is these racks flex and bend way to much for my liking. I placed the bike on there which is an adult hybrid weighing 35 pounds. The left support dropped about 1 1/2" to 2". I was very surprised. I should note the rear of the bike was on the left side.
In the end I didn't trust hanging my nice bike off one of these. They may work for kids bikes but I wouldn't use them for an adult bike. I'm well within the weight limit since the rack is rated for 50 lbs. These racks are going back and were a waste of gas to go and get.

This product was good, while it lasted. The bolts sheered off after 18 months or so. Used it to hold my wife's K2 mountain bike. The rack itself felt pretty solid in the studs, but the bolts couldn't handle the moderate load over time. The bike wasn't always on the rack, either.

I have two of these in my garage. I mounted a 2x4 onto the wall and mounted this on the 2x4. It is simple, effective, and inexpensive. The rack serves as a maintenance stand as well as a storage rack. When not in use, I fold it up.
