Comments about Mountain House Noodles and Chicken - 2 Servings:
Looking for something filling but not "heavy"? Give this a try. It's pretty good on it's own but really takes off if you fix it up a bit. I add a mix of garlic powder, onion powder and oregano. Your tastes may vary.
The instructions say 2 cups of water. I recommend 1 3/4 if you add herbs/spices, a little less if not, otherwise it's "soupy".

Comments about Mountain House Noodles and Chicken - 2 Servings:
My first freeze-dried meal - I was apprehensive to try it, but my fears were put to rest after the first bite.
The meal comes in a stand-up pouch. You add hot water, stir, and seal the pouch and let it stand for about 10 minutes. It had more broth than I was expecting, so we treated it as a chicken "soup" and ate it with spoons.
The pouch served two and we were both comfortably full when finished. So, it doesn't skimp on the serving portions like you would expect.

Comments about Mountain House Noodles and Chicken - 2 Servings:
My first impression was that it was tasty and a thick consistency of chicken noodle soup. I would get this again but it might not always make it into my shopping basket.

Comments about Mountain House Noodles and Chicken - 2 Servings:
This is one of my favorite tasting meals from Mountain House. Chicken actually tastes and feels like chicken and flavoring is very good.

Comments about Mountain House Noodles and Chicken - 2 Servings:
I took this on an overnight backpacking trip rather than carrying something heavier. Not only was I surprised at the tastiness, but I was also surprised by how full I felt after eating it. I was shocked when I realized that it only had 270 calories per serving. This is a great buy and you can't beat the price.

Comments about Mountain House Noodles and Chicken - 2 Servings:
It's been 25-plus years since I have tried Mountain House. Was never really a fan for their products but, boy, have things really changed! I just tried this product as a midnite snack at home - testing it for an upcoming week-long trek in the Northwest. I was shocked at how tasty this meal is. There's no hint of the cardboard flavor that I remembered from the past - the chicken really held up and I kept spooning more and more out of the bag. For sure, I'll have more than a few of these in my pack and check into other Mountain House products.

Comments about Mountain House Noodles and Chicken - 2 Servings:
This meal was pretty yummy. We used the 2-person serving for a 1-person meal, and that was a little too much food; but we don't think half of this package would have been enough for one person. General comments about Mountain House meals: After a few meals we started adding a bit more water than the instructions called for, and let the meals "sit" longer than the instructions said, and that improved the consistency. The meals started out very hot (it helped to have a bandana to use to insulate our hands from the hot package), and stayed warm almost to the end of the meals -- we were eating in temperatures in the mid 50's. We added a bit of olive oil to each meal, thinking that might improve the flavor and add calories.

Comments about Mountain House Noodles and Chicken - 2 Servings:
This stuff is as good as other reviews have said. It was expectedly simple to prepare and the package water amount was correct, although I let it sit a bit longer than the directions said to let the water distribute itself thoroughly. The flavor was fantastic for my taste. Excellent as a meal outdoors or at home.

Comments about Mountain House Noodles and Chicken - 2 Servings:
My friends and I have long held the opinion that the Noodles and Chicken was one of the best tasting freeze-dried quick prepared food on the market. But it wasn't until our last trip in King's Canyon / Sequoia that we considered putting it atop the mantle as the crown champion of backpacking meals. As each of us had taken a variety of different meals for the 9 day trip, around day 5 of the trip I made the comment that I may just bring Noodles and Chicken exclusively on the next trip. My two friends laughed and said that would get pretty old, but by the end of the trip they both agreed that 3 out of every 4 meals on the next trip would be the Noodles and Chicken.
The most important thing is it that it tastes good, has good consistency, and has a good calorie input. Nothing is worse than boiling a freeze dried meal at the end of a hard day and then finding out that you can't stomach to finish it. Two thumbs up!
