The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Mountain House Chicken A La King with Noodles:
We take this meal on every backpacking trip. Always a hit with our large groups, it is the first chouce of the selection of MH meals we bring.
Take a zip lock bag of broken up "Harvest Chedder Sun Chips" and sprinkle on top before serving to give added appeal and crunch.

Comments about Mountain House Chicken A La King with Noodles:
I take this every year on our multi day trip to the Sierra's. It has been popular since the first time we tried it. One thing that we found that seems to make it better, at least for us, is to actually "cook it". I put it in the pot and let it simmer while hydrating. It just seems to come out better. If your not in a hurry give this a try. You will not be disapointed.

Comments about Mountain House Chicken A La King with Noodles:
This is really tasty, but salty (and high sodium).
I've had generally good experiences with the quality of Mountain House foods and this falls into the same category. Good flavor and texture.
The salt content is OK if you've been sweating all day on the trail, but I wouldn't use it for when I'm too lazy to cook.

Comments about Mountain House Chicken A La King with Noodles:
The Chicken a la King with Noodles is a staple for my family anytime we backpack. The flavor is great. The texture is what you'd expect from a noodle dinner... not mushy. Even my young kids like it and that's saying something! Yes, the sodium content is high (1120mg) but this is comparable to other freeze-dried foods.

Comments about Mountain House Chicken A La King with Noodles:
Wow, this is surprisingly very tasty! It's thick, hearty and doesn't look like nasty mush. It's really creamy and yes, can be described as a little salty but you can thin it down with more liquid. No one complained about the salt content but I love salt!
I am going to buy this again!

Comments about Mountain House Chicken A La King with Noodles:
I bought this originally for a backpacking trip that I ended up not going on. Then I packed it for car camping in September for the 14ers.com fall gathering. A neighbor camper fed me grilled mahi mahi and spaghetti, so I didn't eat it then either. But I did run out of money before payday and decided to make it at home before it hit the expiration date. Wow, it was surprisingly good. I had two other similar dinners that I have now consumed under similar circumstances and this one is by far the best tasting and highest amount of protein. I know if I ate this frequently that I'd grow weary of the taste, but it is remarkably good for a freeze-dried dinner. I highly recommend it.

Was not a fan of Freeze dried meals back when so I had'nt used them until recently. The chicken ala king is great was easy to prepare and right out of the bag tasted great I added a little pepper and even better, this will be in my pack from now on.

Comments about Mountain House Chicken A La King with Noodles:
spent 2 weeks backpacking in china with 7 buddies. we had mountain house and backpacker's pantry meals with us for the 14 days. (side note, the backpackers pantry meals were the ones left in our packs when we got back).
we began to refer to this meal as "the king." someone would yell, "hey throw me some king." we had plenty of it, but wished we had one for every meal.
for some reason this meal is just plain delicious. buy it and buy plenty of it...
