Comments about Mountain House Chicken Teriyaki with Rice For Two:
This is my first entry into freeze-dried food and this stuff tastes pretty darn good. It tastes very much like any frozen teriyaki meal just a bit better and the chicken texture is MUCH better(much closer to actual chicken vs. the cartilage nuggets you find in microwave meals - not that I eat them very often)
You could even eat it dehydrated if you had to. It tastes fine, and would pass for a freaked-out crispy trail mix
Only 2 cons:
1. The salt content is a little high (1250 mg per serving vs < 1000 for many of the other Mountain House meals)
2. It's a bit soupy. I'd guess you could get rid of half the sauce powder and still have a pretty good result (or just eat with a fork so it can "drain"). Plus that would probably cut a good bit of the salt out

Quick and easy to prepare, very good flavor. It helps to use a little less water than the instructions call for.

Excellent flavor and texture! Did not have to add anything to make it flavorful. Did not taste like freeze dried food.

Comments about Mountain House Chicken Teriyaki with Rice For Two:
I was very surprised by how good this was. The taste is similar to the Knorr/Lipton teriyaki rice that you can buy at the grocery store. I found the single serving size to be just right, but the 2-serving size isn't much bigger, so it's more of a 1 1/2 person serving.

Comments about Mountain House Chicken Teriyaki with Rice For Two:
I picked up one of these meals the day before a weekend trip. I was skeptical to say the least. Honestly it was more of a "lets see how terrible these are" type of purchase.
Although the package calls for 16 oz. of boiling water, I heated about 12 oz. of water and actually took the pan off the stove before it came to a boil. I was hoping for a stronger flavor and less of a 'cooldown' wait.
I was VERY surprised when I took the first bite. This stuff is great!! I didn't look up from the bag until every last bit was gone. The sauce is mild, but flavorful. There's no overpowering saltyness as I was expecting. The chicken and rice both have very natural flavors and textures. Match the great taste with a sub-10 minute cook time and you've got yourself a perfect trail meal.
The only problem with this meal is the serving size. There's NO way that this is going to serve two adults after a day of hiking. I'm an average male eater and I downed this thing in a matter of 2 minutes and still had room for more. I'm glad I went with the two serving packet instead of the solo version, because I would have gone to bed hungry.

Comments about Mountain House Chicken Teriyaki with Rice For Two:
Product is easy to use, just pour hot water into the pouch (do not forget to remove the absorbent packet first), stir, let stand for 10 minutes. There are better flavored meals from the Mountain house, the chicken teriyaki has too much spices that overpower the taste. Bought it couple of times and came to the same conclusion.

Comments about Mountain House Chicken Teriyaki with Rice For Two:
This was bad, but it wasn't that good either. I'd rather have their Beef Stroganoff or try a new flavor. It was too weird and tangy for me, especially after backpacking and being exhausted, I wanted a trusty flavor.
