A wee bit more expensive than the base manufacturer of freeze-dried meals, but worth it. Strong-flavored sauce and a decent mix of veggies and meat. Required a little extra cook time to fully rehydrate the rice and the chicken, even though we were not at particularly high elevation. But hat always seems to be the case with rice-based dishes. Definitely goes in the "keeper" list.

I've learned not to take a meal on a trip without trying it first, so I just had this for supper at home. Overall, this was an acceptible, filling meal for one, and it would make a great side dish for two people.

I added 2 cups of boiled water, stirred the meal in its pouch, and let it sit for 12 minutes, as directed. There were a few roughly 1" long pieces of chicken, and several much smaller pencil eraser sized chunks. The chicken hydrated and other than being slightly chewy, it tasted fine.

The rice was quite good, as Richmoor used a variety of rice types that greatly improved the flavor and texture of this rice meal over other brands. The peas and carrots hydrated well and had some flavor. The honey mustard sauce was flavorful, without being overpowering.

I'd advise adding slightly less than 2 cups of water, as the sauce was just a little too watery. There could be more chicken, and less sodium. The meal wasn't terribly salty, but there is a fairly high sodium content. No other complaints.

I'll likely order this meal again.
