Works just as it should
I bought this toaster to see if it would be useful for an upcoming fully-loaded bike tour on the US West Coast. It's a little bit larger than I expected it would be, but it works just as expected. I use it over a Trangia alcohol stove with a Clikstand. The holes in the toaster do a wonderful job controlling the flame and getting it close to the toast without scorching it. I even found that I can use the square at the top of the toaster to rest my pan and make scrambled eggs in the time it takes to make toast. Great for conserving fuel and getting hot toast with your scrambled eggs.

Good to use but easy to rust
The function, making toasts, is great. I like it. But, the bottom part get rusty easily. Well, some might say it's okay because the bottom doesn't touch bread, but it is very unpleasant experience to see the rusty cookware in my backpack. They could have made this better.

Works good

Works well but be careful of the surface you use it on, I did a test run at home to cook some bagels and it reflects the heat it burned my wooden table 🤷‍♂️

Just Like Grandma's Toaster

I have one of these that is over 30 years old and still hanging in there. OCCASIONALLY the wires pop out but they can be easily popped back in. The wires can also be tucked under one another to keep it folded up.As far as rusting, it doesn't matter. As far as cleaning......who worries about that? It's a [*] camping toaster!

Awesome Toast

We LOVE this for making toast. It's so good we use it during blackouts too! However, the base is made from mild steel and rusts up after the first use, and just gets worse. It's mostly an aesthetic issue as the rods that hold the bread are stainless steel and don't rust at all. It packs flat so it's easy to pack under the stove or something.

Awesome for toast and burritos

I bought 4 of these, one for each camp kit, so I could use it for breakfast burritos. It works great! When it arrived, it packs flat, but unless you pay attention on how to weave it back the same way, it doesn't lay flat anymore. Instructions might be nice. Also, in order to hold he extra weight of burritos, vs toast, the wires need to be weaved, so that its not just two on top and two on bottom. It is weaved in the picture that is on the front of the package. This works great, and I've been able to warm up 6 burritos on it pretty efficiently.

Toast. An absolute Must Have.

This is a great idea for a family camping trip. When using my coleman stove this bad boy is there. If backpacking I minimize you load and the toaster stays home but if the family is there... Anyways it works great flip once and watch the nice golden brown color. Yum

Nifty little thing

Who doesn't want toast while exploring the outdoors?! Super easy to use and put away. Made toast for breakfast as well as PB&J sandwiches while camping. Had to rotate a few times to get even toastiness but it works quickly and thoroughly!

Camping necessity!

This easily makes great toast and Poptarts (our child needed 1 comfort food!). We flipped the toast once and they came out perfect, depending on the individual's preference for toast. It's also not too hot to retrieve the toast/Poptart using your fingers, as long as you don't touch any metal.

Great toast

KISS - Keep it simple stupid couldn't be more true with this toaster. My husband and I used one on our sailboat for over 20 years and it held up and made great toast. We just bought a new one to use in our home because it does such a great job.
