I've probably had 6 pairs of Targhee vent shoes over the years, but they discontinued the grey color that I like, so I thought I'd try the Circadia vent. First of all they feel more pillow-y than the Targhee...super, super comfortable. Here's the other difference. I slip my shoes on and off without undoing the laces and the Targhee has a stiff heel, almost like a shoe-horn. The Circadia is soft and needs to be adjusted after being folded over when the foot is inserted. I'm going to keep this pair, but I imagine the top by the heel strap will get worn out in no time. Please bring back the grey Targhee vent!
These were my 2nd pair of Keen, my first were Targhee Mid and lasted for years. Bought these Circadia Low(Bison color) online May 2023 after I finally got rid of the Targhee. VENT and the color were the primary features why I chose to try these model, plus REI had a sale on these. Why Circadia did not meet my expectations - color was off between REI pics and actual, sizing was a little wider from expected, treads were worn out (that is, cracks, chipped and worn out halfway) in a few months of use and the midsole lacked cushioning and structure - felt very thin when you press with your finger inside or outside at the ball of foot area.
The sole on this shoe has no support. The factory insole stinks! Come on keen you can do better. I have had many other keen shoes and work boots. These are not keen quality. The first pair top shoe string loop tore out. Keen customer service is awesome sent me another pair. I know the sole was different on second pair. It is so flimsy. You can collapse it with your finger. I bought a 50.00 pair of insoles trying to get by. I hate this shoe. You know the problem is all shoes you buy anymore are junk. I don’t care about 20.00 or 40.00 extra for shoes! Just sell quality. Not junk. Please sell better and more vented shoes!

I have long been a fan of Keen shoes. They always fit and felt perfect for my feet. I have had many Keen shoes and boots over the years; still have pairs from the past in my closet, and still remember the models I really liked. Unfortunately, the last 3 pairs I bought (2022), 2 pairs of shoes and 1 pair of boots hurt my feet. They do not have the same arch support and feel almost scooped out at the arch. Also, while still wide at the toe box, I am experiencing pain at the outside of the big toe. There is rubbing at that joint that has never been there. I walk between 3 and 5 miles a day and can’t wear the 3 new pair of Keens I was so looking forward to wearing and enjoying over the miles.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The shoes have a TERRIBLE insole. I had to spend $50 for insoles. They are ‘comfortable’ but noisy. This is totally different than my experience wi my purchase of steel toed work boots. They were great. I have been buying KEEN shoes/boots almost exclusively for a couple of decades. This purchase was a disappointment. I fear my favorite brand is cutting corners.
I pretty much wear Keen's exclusively, as everyday shoes. My shoes typically last a bit more than one season (Spring, Summer, Fall, Spring), switching out for boots in the winter. Typically my Keens wear away the inside lining near my heel before the soles or uppers wear out. Not the Circadia, the uppers are cracking at the toebox flex point. The soles are wearing out on the heel, and the uppers are separating from the soles. I have only worn these occasionally in the Fall, and just started wearing them again this month. I doubt I have more than 200 miles and fewer than 3 months of use.
Pleased with the wide sizing availability, combined with the trademark Keen wide toe box. The color options were good, I lean towards natural color schemes. I always prefer a Vibram sole, which these lack, but I have had no traction issues on dusty trails with redwood and Douglas-fir roots.

I was looking for a vented hiking shoe. When I think "hiking shoe" I think good tread (which Keen is not known for) and a ridged, protective midsole at the ball of the foot. I think the Circadia is also advertised as "cushioned" with what they call a Luftcore. Keen finally put at least adequate tread on this shoe, but there is zero structure to it - when pressing on the bottom of the shoe at the midsole, my thumbs sink deeply into it. It is not a hiking shoe. It's for smooth sidewalks in cities or grass lawns.
My husband says this Circadia is much more comfortable than the Presidio. It has more cushion in the foot bed and outsole itself. But, his only reason for not giving it 5 stars is the heel lift. He doesn't like that much heel height, it feels like you're walking downhill until you get used to it. It's much better for the legs/knees & back to not have a higher heel lift. This shoe seems to run large, since he kept the Size 12, instead of his usual Size 13. Width is fine, even for his EE feet.
