Updating Previous Review
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Updating my prior review, as I'm deducting one star for the drawstrings. Having had these pants for a couple of weeks now, the issue of the drawstring being pulled inside the waistband has occurred on all three pairs. Why TNF can't put a toggle on each of the ends so this doesn't occur, is beyond me. So tired of having to use a safety pin to fish the drawstring back out for something that's easily fixed on the manufacturers end. I tied double knots on all of them, but they still get wedged into the opening and I know they'll most likely get pulled back in at some point. Please, please TNF, fix this simple detail and then these pants will be perfect!
I want all the colors!
I just received these in the mail, put them on, fell in love. They are almost perfect. They're the softest pants I've ever worn, they fit me perfectly, the zippered pockets are large and incredible, and the wide waistband is awesome. My only complaint would be the length. They could be a tad longer, but I am only 5'4" so they hit my ankles pretty well. As others have mentioned, the ankles are snug. They don't bother me but I could see how it could be a problem. I normally wear XS and that's what size I purchased and I am really glad I did. They run pretty true to size. Really happy with these!
Warm+cozy, roomy in the hip, w/ only 1 complaint
These are so soft and warm and cozy. There is a ton of room on the hips, so they tend to sag in the rear due to my narrow/lean frame, so they’re not the most flattering joggers I’ve ever owned. I love north face quality and I’m sure these will stand up to the test of time, however be aware there’s almost NO stretch whatsoever at the bottom so I really have to use force pull them over my feet. A bit of an oversight in the design+ fabric choice IMO.
Great for cool weather outdoors
I found these are wonderfully warm and cozy for cool weather. I love the fit! I wear them out hiking in Yosemite's fall weather, on my bicycle, and gardening. I've been quite happy with them. I am however, disappointed that they aren't warm enough for really cold weather-- ie. snow. They do fine at 40 to 55 degrees F. but that's about it. I do wish they were slightly heavier fabric and the ankle could be a tiny bit bigger to accommodate bulky socks, high top shoes or boots too.
Great quality and it's a magic lint roller to boot
tight at the lower calf but fits well otherwise. Great heavier weight material that feels like quality. Like the jacket these things love pet hair. Need to deshed the pup -no work necessary. Love your cat and want to look like your cat - easy peasy! All your loose pet hair will be right on your pants. Want to really scare away that one who marginally likes pets, here you go! Great outfit, just maybe, pet owners beware.
Underwhelming
Love the color. I have been trying to find another pair of polyester fleece pants that are similar to a pair I have from Columbia that have been discontinued so I tried these. These are much thinner than I was hoping for and do not tightly enough for cold weather. The first test walk I went on I was not only cold because they are loose and thin (except the waist is fitted so I can't size down) but the side where I put my phone in my pocket caused the seam of the pant to rub the skin on my hip raw because so I ended up with a red raw mark on my hip that is still healing a week later (a first for sweatpants). I don't think this would happen if the fabric were thicker/tighter. As a petite person the height of the pants is also a tad high. I am 5'3" usually between 125 and 130 lbs 28/29 at the waist and 38/39 at the hips. I got a small for a tighter fit (I am usually between S and M) and the waistband is a bit less stretchy than I would like and super wide so it feels like I am wearing a cumberbund of sorts. They would be ok for spring or fall walks and maybe camping if I don't put anything big in the pockets but not a winter pant unless you run warm. The fitted, stiff, wide waistband and type of fabric mean they aren't quite comfortable for lounging either IMO. If these were made with the same fabric as my North Face fleece hoodie I purchased in 2019 they would be perfect. Softer, thicker, and a bit of a better fit. I am on the fence about keeping them given the price.
Warm and comfy
These joggers are just what I was looking for in terms of comfort and warmth for the winter. They would be perfect if not for the tight ankle cuffs. The joggers are a bit hard to get on and take off due to the tight ankle cuffs. If the ankle cuffs had more stretch than they would be perfect and I'd order a second pair.
Cozy and warm
These are great for winter. They are nice and warm. However, the ankle cuffs are tight making it hard to get these on and off. Otherwise, these are perfect and I live the fact that they have zippered pockets too (that's hard to come by, for women's pants these days).
Warm lounge pants
The material is warm and the pants are form fitting. However, the material is also rather inflexible, not elastic enough. The pant cuffs are difficult to get on and off over the ankles, the waistband is stiff and the length of the pants keeps the ankles exposed.
Comfy sweats that look nice
Love love love these sweats. I am going to get them in another color. They are soft, look nice and feel great on. Not to long on my 5 foot 4 inch body.
